I've been a long time HD fan, and do still own a 2016 ultra, but once I rode an FTR I had to have it. Absolutely loved that bike, though my lower back didn't, so I traded it in on a Challenger and that thing is my favorite all-around bike ever. Indian is making great bikes, for those willing to look past their brand loyalty. And MAN do I miss my FTR. I'll own another one some day, in addition to my Challenger that isn't gonna go anywhere.

Agreed. I used to own a 2022 model, when they redid it with the 17” wheels, but it had a few issues. The tank was way too small and it was terrible at low rpms. But, as crazy aa it sounds, it didn’t any aftermarket parts besides tuning. The bike is pretty much perfect in terms of design. It looks better than a Ducati IMO. I’m sad to see it go and hope it does become a cult classic of American bikes.

It I wasn't so in love with the Chief Bobber Darkhorse, I would be looking hard at the Springfield. The only downside is that's the only bike in the lineup that you can't get with Ride Command. I keep hoping that will change when the new bikes come out each year.
@ThatBobGuy85013 күн бұрын
Josh, you're absolutely right that most dealers just want to sell you a **new** motorcycle and then kick you out the door as you said. So we salute Bert for creating a place where riders can go and hang out **after** the purchase. Great idea! Let's hope it works out for him. With respect to customization... Back in the '60s and '70s there wasn't the huge aftermarket for motorcycle parts. And so people had to, as you say, design and build their own customized parts. That's changed, of course, and now you can buy any sort of "RTL - LTR" geegaw or doodad and install it (or have it installed). We've gotten to a point where "customization" really means "personalization." Is that a bad thingi? I don't think so. Go to any Harley hangout or bike night, and you won't see two Harleys that are exactly the same. And that's a big part of the attraction of owning a Harley. There are parts from the 1958 Sportster that will bolt right on a final-year model (I'm thinking specifically of the handlebar riser clamp). No manufacturers have that kind of continuity and interchangeability of parts. Not only that, they don't want to put the time in to let their models "age," so to speak. Witness Indian ditching the FTR already. And that's why people will continue to buy Harleys when Indian is long dead and gone. Great video! Can't wait to see what you brought home this time ;-)

I generally like Indian. I recently sold a '23 Scout Bobber only because I just moved and my new garage only had enough room for my car and one bike (which is a '21 Sportser 48 and is my forever bike). My only issues with the Scout were fit and finish. Indian paint and clear coat quality SUCKS. My local dealer purposely keeps the lights in the showroom low so you can't see all the micro scratches in the finish. I learned this a little too late: when I went to see the Scout in person, I couldn't see all the fine lines in the finish. It was a really overcast day, so I didn't notice the finish flaws until several days later when the bike was in the sun for the first time. There were also a bunch of other tiny things, like one of the foot pegs wouldn't stay folded up. But other than that, it was a solid bike, it was fun to ride, and I really liked the styling on it. Sadly, I don't like the new generation of Scouts, so the chances of me owning another one is almost zero. I'd consider a Chief Bobber, but it's just way too expensive for what you actually get on the bike.
@rubo19648 күн бұрын
This plus new Scout owners complaining forever it takes the dash to load etc.Seriously weird you pay 15k for a bike then wait 3min for it to load up to ride.Was Indian being cheap using older chip?

Your channel influence as an unbiased review. Like you said, unfinished bike and there’s a difference in customization. Some of these other channels influence the manufacturer to push something simply because their channel is blooming. Then when that happens, hmmmm why is the bike sitting n the floor for so long. And to make matters worst, those Channels themselves don’t even buy their top dollar bikes they are pushing: they buy the low end model. Hmmmmmmm But nice video, keep being you and who cares if these manufacturers don’t call you. Your being you and staying true to what your about. Don’t sell out like other channels.
