They should put some live fish in there from time to time. That would be great enrichment for those gavials. And it'd be a great show for the crowd!

Gharials are going extinct but let's put them back in their super polluted and toxic river where they used to live, nothing could go wrong right .... Seriously ? don't you think there's another reason than entertainment as to why animals are put in zoos ?

In the wild, yes.
@TheKaijuGamer_5 жыл бұрын
@@triasic4457 You do know that some people are cleaning the environment, right? Also, the environment they used to live in still has wild populations, but a small population of about 250 individuals. As long as we clean up amd take care of their habitat, they'll recover. Also, certain animals don't really belong in captivity like Orcas, to get better information and research from them, we should look at wild individuals as captive individuals are different and are more used to humans than the ones in the wild.

Indian gharials usually as well looked like and resembles as sarcosuchus which was extinct over 133 to 112 million years ago. They were the biggest but not only the biggest. They kill and hunt on small preys. And some random lady says “This is the largest crocodile in the world!” No, salt water crocodile is the biggest, and the real extinct species is purussaurus and the main is sarcosuchus which basically the thing people only knows.
@part-timebrock11263 жыл бұрын
Saltys are the biggest but Gharials can grow longer.
