Bro this song was written by the famous sufi poet Baba Bhullay Shah. Bhullay Shah's grave is in Qasoor which is a small city in Pakistan. The song is sung by many Pakistani singers and then copied by the biggest chappa factory "Bolly Wood". Bolly Wood changed some words and released it as theirs, as they usually do with Pakistani songs and poetry and they never give credits to the original creator.

It's easy for a Sindhi to understand Punjabi bcoz we have many words in common .. Like Panj (Five) Dhi (Daughter) Puttar(Son) Gaddi (Vehicle) Vaddi( big thing) Bau (Many) So (Swear) Kam (Work) Chhad(leave) Hitte,ithhe (Here ) Utte ,utthe(there) Asaa(we) etc . Bhai yeh original lyrics hain. Bhulle Shah ne likhe the. Ap ke vahan jo lyrics use karte hain, is ka matlab yeh nahe k correct hain. Coke Studio k bare mein yeh yad rakh na k hamesha original lyrics use krte hain, aur 99% Pakistani personality ne hi voh lyrics likhe hote hain. Ap ne indian copy videos dekhe toh hain, sub kuch copy kr ke le jate hain aur apne lyrics dal dete hai aur batate hain k hm ne likhe hain. Please don't mind because this is the truth.

The 'lal' in "Mera Piya ghar aya O' Lal ji" refers to great Sindhi saint and poet Shahbaz Lal Qalanadar, who wrote the first few lyrics of this Qawali. The composition is also of Sindhi-Saraiki nature. The other lyrics are by Baba Fareed and Baba Bulhey Shah, both from Punjab, Pakistan. The Bollywood just plagiarized the lyrics and composition of this centuries old Pakistani masterpiece and replaced 'lal' with 'ram'. Hope this clarifies.
