Thank you for all your videos you have been great help and love your build 👏 Regarding the tires on the 240 do you have any feedback when using 240 Avons ? Asking cos I have just ordered a 240 and the supplier has only got Avon's available. TIA
@oxouk2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I had one guy reach out to me regarding his Avon 240. He stated that no matter how he aligned the rear wheel, he couldn’t get it to clear the swing arm.

Amigo, thanks for the inspiration, just picked up the 1920 seat (since it was the last one they gave me the bobber cover with it instead of the regular scout) and ordered the RC components rear wheel kit. I will post a video of my install and comment the link when the wheel arrives! Much love moto fam!

@@oxouk Tbh it’s going to be a copy of yours to some extent. I really liked the simplicity of your steel rail for the lights and junction box for the plate. I will fabricate the battery close out plate locally to match that of tank machine. And for now it’s Stage 1 Indian mufflers & intake, heat wrapped headers and bar end mirrors with black levers. My “film skills”‘aren’t as good as yours but here’s what it looks and sounds like for now: kzbin.infoxCXNl9VKblo?feature=share

@@StreetPilots those pipes actually sound pretty good when you twist the throttle. Really dig that color also. I’m getting ready to swap my tank for the matte black. Keep me posted on your mods. A lot of my ideas are not what you add to your bike, but rather what you can remove. Stripping it down yet still making it functional.
@StreetPilots2 жыл бұрын
@@oxouk thank you! I would of like more oomph but strict dB laws here in Vancouver , are you swapping just for Color or is the design different? (Why not get it painted/wrapped?) I agree with your take parts off mentality, make a bobber more of a bobber in my opinion!

@@StreetPilots I actually have a small dent in my tank that has been driving me crazy. I’ve tried to have it pulled but to no avail. A new one was $1800, I then found the matte one on Ebay for $800 so I pulled the trigger.

Can you install that 240 rear wheel and still have a passenger seat with a back rest or does having the bigger tire only allow the driver seat?
@oxouk Жыл бұрын
Only the one seat. Once you install the 240, you have to remove the subframe which supports the weight for your rear passenger. So it’s solo only I’m afraid.

@@oxouk Gotcha! Thought so. Small sacrifice but looks bad ass with that 240! Definitely gonna do this once I get that scout. Thanks for responding and beautiful ride.

I just found this video, I just subscribed to your channel. I have a question. Did you put a 240 back tire without on the bike as it is, or did you put a fat tire kit?
@oxouk11 ай бұрын
I put on a 240 tire and wheel. The rear stock wheel can only safely accommodate a 180 rear tire. To fit the 240 wheel and tire you must remove your rear subframe. Also some 240 tires will not fit due to different manufacturers measurements, that’s why I have the Metzeller 888 240 tire, because it fits perfectly.
@JavierFlores-ry6om11 ай бұрын
@oxouk thank you for your answer. English is not my first language; so just to see if I understand. You didn't put the "fat tire kit." you just put a wheel for the 240 tire, the 240 tire, and removed the rear subframe. Right? No fat tire kit. Because I want to do that on my scout; put a 240 tire, but they told me I need a fat tire, which they want to charge me $5000 dlls plus labor.
@oxouk11 ай бұрын
@@JavierFlores-ry6om The kit is usually the wheel, tire, fender, and belt guard. I just bought the wheel and tire. I think I paid $2300. www.shoprccomponents.com/scout-240-stocker-kit/

I ordered the RC Components kit, but the seat isn't available, any ideas? does the kit work without the solo seat and im doing fender delete. thx
@oxouk3 ай бұрын
Your stock seat mounts to your sub frame which also holds your stock fender. The subframe will be removed to accommodate the 240 wheel and tire. My seat is the Indian 1920 Solo saddle seat. Try looking for it from Indianmotorcycles.com, through Polaris that makes Indian, Indian parts nation, or your nearest Indian dealer.

Thanks for this video! However I can't find the same rim design on RC components on their website. And may I ask how much they're charging for it with the shipping? Thank you! I really liked your bobber build 🤘🏻
@oxouk2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words Aiman. The RC website is a little tricky to navigate. Go to their wheel selector. The wheel I have is called the “Stocker” wheel because it matches the Scout stock wheel. If you want to match the front bobber wheel, you’ll need the “Raider” wheel. They have a couple packages. I opted for the one without the rear fender. Mine was roughly $2300. Hope this helps.

Hello, excuse my ignorance. I just bought a scout bobber and I would like to place the 240 rear tire and keep the spoked rim, which I should buy apart from the tire, obviously.- I will appreciate your answer. Greetings from Argentina.-
@oxouk Жыл бұрын
If you want to keep the original spoke rear wheel, the widest tire you can use is a 180mm. If you want a 240mm tire, you will need to replace the wheel and remove the rear subframe and the fender.

@@oxouk Thank you for your prompt response. I have it assembled without fenders with the seat, only the driver, Bober 1920. Is there a kit or brand to buy the wheel and frame, or just remove the frame without further ado.- Thank you.-
@oxouk Жыл бұрын
@@rotechrotech4004 you can buy the 240 wheel and tire from RC Components or Indianaftermarket.com. The rear subframe needs to be removed before installing the wider wheel. It is basically four large bolts in front of the rear tire.

@@oxouk really? I’m torn between the regular bobber and the bobber twenty because I’m worried about my mild lower back kicking in with that riding position. What do you recommend?
@oxouk2 жыл бұрын
@@AllGlidezzz it depends on your riding style. For short commutes, ripping from stop light to stop light, the regular bobber and a having drag bars is comfortable. If you plan on riding long distance, you may want a set up based on comfort. People always ask about my riding position being comfortable, but it’s never an issue. My left hand pulling that clutch causes me more discomfort more than anything.
