I love how you modified license plate and turn signal under seat, but I order under seat lights from Tank Machine and that license plate mount from them as well. Like this you saved at least $1k, unfortunately I don't have place and tools to do something like you did. Again, thank you for all ideas and information you share with us, that 240 rear tire installation video was gold for me

JB-weld is decent stuff, like you said if properly prepared. If I may I'd like to make a product suggestion for future use. It's called Steel Stick by JB weld, it's a two part clay that is extremely strong, much stronger than the epoxy in the tube by JB weld.

Hi there great video , had a question what type of rear mirrors are those on the bike.

I cut the factory bar end mounts in half, used a tap and die to mount the rectangle mirrors that I found on Ebay for roughly $25.00. If you search “rectangle motorcycle mirrors” you’ll see them with a split frame mount.

Hi there, the bike is looking great!! I'm keen to fabricate my own engine close off for my ISB, the same as the one you made and replaced in this video. Any chance you could tell me the dimensions (height x width) of the plate? I'd like to make it before the seat arrives. Many thanks and great job with the bike!

Hello Kristen, your best option is to wait until you remove the rear subframe. Trace around the mounting surface area onto a piece of poster paper, then use that as a template. Watch my video titled “Indian Scout Bobber Rear Fender DIY” this should help you out. Thanks for watching!

I was wondering why not install the license plate and turn signals first before putting the seat , so will have enough room to work .

is it possible to attach the stock seat back after the fender delete and covering the subframe? because i really like the stock seat. thanks

The only way to keep the stock seat is to remove the fender, relocate the tail lights and cut the subframe all the way back to where it supports the underside of the seat. Trial and error if you're handy with tools. Worst case, you have to buy a new subframe ($700) and go back to stock.

Would the original bracket work with just adding new holes? How off was it compared to the new bracket?

I just got my new bracket after waiting 3 months. The original is nowhere close to fitting. If you have a bench vise, you could easily fabricate a bracket. Doesn’t need to look pretty, you won’t see it anyway.

Are those decals on the side of your gas tank? Or just outlines?

Their website is down for some reason. The part you need is for the Scout 100th anniversary. It has that recessed section to match up with the fender delete plate. If I can find the part number, I’ll post it.

I actually don’t even have the bike anymore. I sold it last year. I’m pretty sure I gave that plate away to someone else that asked.

I have a better idea for you to hide the wires from the taillights instead of running them on the side of the block off plate I can send you pics of the way I set up my bike .
