Please don't go, for your own sake! India is a very dangerous place,especially for women. Rape is very common in India,as are scammers and thieves. If that's not enough , Indians have no concept of hygiene, even among the middleclass. It is common for them to defecate in the streets,parks,on beaches,near train tracks etc. Excrement is guaranteed to end up in the food, and many foreigners get very sick,and have a terrible time in India!
