Indiana businesses close to support Day Without Immigrants

Many Hispanic and Latino businesses closed across the country Monday for what's being called "A Day Without Immigrants."
That includes dozens here in central Indiana.
The nationwide protest is meant to shine a light on the key role immigrants play in the American economy.
In Fountain Square, the "open" sign was dark Monday at Super Tortas Lucha Libre, a rare "lights off" for the lunch rush.

They pay taxes just like citizens, Fed. state and local taxes deducted social security and Medicare are deducted from their paychecks but they cannot collect either. Sales tax as well. when they buy goods. Get educated. Not all are here illegally either.

Taking a stand is important. A day without immigrants needs to happen often, how often? Not a one time thing, but a one time per year. Greedy business people need to set their priorities straight by cutting off their money for one day to show they do mean business, but will they once they see how the bottom line effects them? If public is notified in advance, other's (like American communities all kinds and colors) would fill in on that day; catering, mail order, whatever marketing they come up with, notice in advance, heads up so people can see your solidarity instead of your greed, need--not wanting to do without the American dollar will adversely affect day without immigrants as much as noticing they are missing from so many people's lives.
