I am maybe 6 or 7 hours in and I am having a great time with this game. I had no idea there would be so much care given to side quests, researching, and exploring. You can easily double the gameplay time by checking everything off your journal.

It's not just a great game, but it's one of the greatest games of ALL TIME. Absolutely stunning job creators! The game play, graphics, cinema, storyline, casting, everything! It felt just like the original Indiana Jones movies, but instead, you actually get to be a part of the experience first hand. Again, STUUUUNNNING! If you haven't played it yet, you're missing out big time. It's worth every minute of your life. P.S. I'm one of thee biggest tomb raider fans out there and this game hands down out shines any of the tomb raider games I've played and that's saying ALOT. I'm just so impressed with how the creators were able to capture the Indiana Jones charm so well. Okay I'm done. You just gotta play it.

1st person is always more immersive... just because it's an iconic character, doesn't require 3rd person. Doomguy, Gordon Freeman, BJ Blazkowicz, Garrett from Thief games, Master Chief, Corvo Attano, very iconic characters. Yet in 1st person. Based on a movie, but so what. Alien Isolation, no you don't play as Ripley, but her daughter. 1st person works fine. Adventure game, that's why? Original Indy games were point & click adventures. Monkey Island 1-2, Maniac Mansion 1-2, Grim Fandago etc. were also classed as adventure games. LucasArts adventure games were an institution. Therefore, shouldn't Tomb Raider and Uncharted have been point & click adventures? Tomb Raider had 3rd person for a very obvious reason... Lara Croft's anatomy. After that Uncharted copied that, but they both copied Indiana Jones. 3rd person is not synonymous for adventure games at all. It's just the limited logic of some people who can't think with their own brain. You accept game development cliches as universal truths

@@shredd5705 good comment. Those other games (except thief) are 1st person because they are shooters. With Indy and adventure games in general there is a lot of traversing and jumping/swinging that can be jarring with a 1st person field of view. In these trailers when it does show those action clips in 1st person it almost gets that motion sickness feeling. But hey. Definitely going to buy it, will have to see how it plays :)
