Great videos with Jack. Today at age of 74 I'm finally fully retiring from truck driving. Passed my HGV Class 1 in 1973 and have been Trucking ever since. Driven all over UK, Europe, Middle East, also a stint in US and Canada. Really like your style man. Keep on Trucking.

Hello Indiana Jack, For us who want to know the daily expenses of being an owner operator, when you get fuel, truck washes, oil changes, etc., would you consider stating the charges. Another video possibly: The day and a life of the office side of the business. From Truck Payments, (What amount of truck payment would be a safe amount to pay and still be profitable. I know this is different for everyone but more for a good rule of thumb), Average Annual Fuel Costs, expected insurance (s), Road Taxes, What Tags and fees, Monthly amounts put aside for maintenance, Annual Gross Income, Average Net income, (Not yours of course but and Idea of what to expect), anything one wouldn't think about when it comes to being an Owner Operator. It's something like myself would like to know when doing the homework before buying into the business of being my own boss. Thanks for your content. I have been following you for a few months now and love your footage. If your ever in the Sacramento, California area, look me up. I'd like to buy ya lunch, Dinner and ask you some questions. Maybe we can do that interview covering the above information. Nine.1.6 - eight.3.8.- two.2.seven.4 Email Pjcrewatgmaildotcom Text me if you think this is a possibility. The nearest truckstop is: Sacramento 49er Travel Plaza 2828 El Centro Rd, Sacramento, CA 95833 Or The nearest Flying J Travel Center 15100 Thornton Rd, Lodi, CA 95242 Thank you Indiana Jack, Paul

Jack, you should try 0000 steel wool on your windshield. It does not scratch and is very effective in removing water spots and other debris. The glare must make driving more of a challenge than it ought to be.

Good timing, I woke up early this morning, put on a pot of fresh coffee, and discovered your new video here. Enjoyed my coffee and the video. Hmmmm … possible lot lizards one night, and lady bugs the next day. Lady bugs being the better of the two! Wherever your trucking travels take you, may there be good truck stops with room to park in, fresh hot coffee and delicious foods, quick truck maintenance and service, good roads, fast truck loading and unloading, and of course - no lot lizards! Entertaining videos Indiana Jack! BTW per the Loves.com website, a Love’s Travel Stops opened in Newcastle, Oklahoma last month in October, in case your trucking adventures takes you in that direction.

A couple questions regarding your rental trailer: 1). Do you keep or have kept the same trailer since you left Knight? 2) Do you pay for the trailer by the month or by the amount of miles you pull it each month? 3) Do you see the time when you might buy your own trailer? Enjoy your videos - almost make me feel I'm in the tractor with you.

Indiana Jack, Been watching your videos quite a while and really like them. I am a retired OTR driver myself so I know how different company drivers can get on a guys nerves for some reason or another. That being said, what is your hang up with Swift drivers? I understand it is a starting point for a lot of drivers but I am sure many of them have been trucking for a while and are professionals just like you. As for the new drivers, give them a chance, I am quite sure you were not born with a steering wheel in your mouth. And for the few that are pros and stay with that company for whatever reason, at least show them some respect. You are a pro don't cheapen yourself with these other super trucker attitudes.

YAY, Jack! I am *still* totally enamored of your films!! A couple of points about this one, though: 1) Ladybugs are GOOD LUCK!! NEVER do in a ladybug!! Not that you would, of course! 2) The "bee" toward the beginning was NOT a bee!! It was a Yellow Jacket!! Their sting is even more painful than a hornet!! Avoid them at all costs! Question: Have you ever patronized a Speedco Oil Change? Not that I think they're better or worse than the establishment you used, just curious. ;) Meanwhile, Keep th' greasy side down and keep it 'tweeeeeeeeeeeeeeen th' ditches, Shugah! :)

in my limited time with lot lizards, i learned from other drivers, that they won't come near a truck unless called over, or something about certain truck lights have to be on for them to approach you. like in Atlanta TA, if the red floor light is on, that's an invite to the lot lizards. the most beautiful lot lizard i'd ever seen, or ever "did" see, approached me in the Atlanta TA. if i hadn't been involved with the love of my life, i'd of taken up this lot lizard's offer, but i refused and the driver in front of me told me to turn off my red floor light. :) one in Okie city wanted to borrow my cb to offer her services to other drivers, :) after that, i didn't have problems, nor did any approach me again. the last time was the Ontario, Ca. TA, some male dude knocked on my door while i was sleeping. i actually cursed this guy out and told him to get away from me "and" my truck.

WD-40 against wasps and hornets also works well. Oil coats prevents aviation and later kills. That spray stuff seems to just make them angrier. I wish the truck stops or the states would build bigger truck stops with all pull through parking, so drivers don't waste so much time and fuel looking for a parking spot and then trying to get into it. I think truck stops like that would pay for themselves in the time and fuel savings. How many miles before you change your oil and do truckers use full synthetic oil?
