Jack, I just want you to know that my former truck-driving husband Monte (the original Three Log Book Monte) really enjoyed watching your videos, up until the week of his death on Saturday. He had an aggressive and painful cancer, but your videos were a welcome distraction, providing us moments of normalcy and comedy. I enjoyed watching with him and learning about his truck-driving days. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. Keep on truckin'

Hello Jack, here is Chris. I'll just write it in here and tell you what I want to tell you. I've been watching your show on KZbin for 3 weeks now and subscribed to it right after the first episode. My father was also a truck driver like you, and as a kid, I've been there a lot. What I wanted to tell you is that I like to watch your show and watch it daily and that you do it very well. Especially very informative. My sister and family live in Columbus Ohio where I will visit again next year but I would like to go on a trip from Los Angeles to Ohio. Keep on Trucking drive carefully .... Chris

Yes, but when they pack all the way back to the doors, there's no space left over getting into the truck to position or put straps in there and a lot of times there's nothing left back at the doors to attach the straps to. So the only left to do is to be able to put bar braces across the back BEFORE you pull away from the dock and BEFORE it is sealed. If you're dealing with a no-hands-on load, you don't know it's packed that way until you unseal it and open the doors, and some shippers don't allow you on the dock area to supervise and have access to the load anyway.

Yet another excellent video!!! I love living in the West. I spent the majority of my life in Ohio, PA and Indiana. Loved them all, but once I moved out West, I cannot imagine living anywhere else for the rest of my time on this planet. I know that you are not a big-time burger guy, but the next time you are in Ogden, take a cab to the Burger Bar. You will not regret it. Excellent cheeseburgers and milk shakes. I have been to the Flying J you stayed at in Ogden; I believe that it used to be a Bossleman's Truck Stop. Keep up the great work!!! You are by far the best on the internet.

I drive OTR(CDL A) only in the North East, and my company is based out of Maine, so the majority of the runs I do are from Maine to Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland and all other surrounding states. The most common routes I drive is I78, I80, I81, I83, I87 I90, I91 I95 I278, I287, I290, I295, I395, I476, I684 etc...I haul a lot of Nestle/Poland spring water(most loads being 46,000lbs), many pepsi loads, Snapple, sappi(rolls of paper) etc, and all those loads are at least 43,000lbs. So with that being said, most know that the North East has the WORST traffic, construction projects, and routes America has(along with all the tolls). Many OTR drivers avoid the North East like a plague, and many refuse to drive up this way at all, not to mention the lack of places to shut down after your shift, and the truck stops and rest areas that we do have, finding legal parking past 1700hr is a challenge(if not impossible) period. With all this, we have the Appalachian mountains to deal with too, so with us being nearly maxed out at 80,000lbs GVW, the horrible traffic, constant construction zones, accidents that take 8 hours to travel 20 miles(on a weekly bases), being cut off by hundreds of drivers in a few short hours, etc...Driving anywhere else in the country besides the North East is a cake walk :)

That was a Large Car W900L moving slow in the parking lot. But you saw he walked off from you when he got on the super slab right? Its what we do😁. But i used to work for Sysco back in New Orleans and yes the trucks are loaded just like that! My first stop restaurant uses a lot of bbq sauce and they would always have those 5gallon buckets stack up too darn high along with all the other stuff. I would just crack the door and try to save the product but most times i couldn't and the stuff would fall out. And yes it's back breaking work! I was in the best shape after six months but i left and started driving tri-axle dump trailer. Maaaan you can keep that dang handtruck!😝

until i worked in a warehouse that supplied fresh fruit and veggies to stores and eateries, i never knew Florida grew potatoes. , that you're taking potatoes to Florida, but Idaho spuds are still famous, world-wide, and some potatoes are really huge. :) Eastern Idaho grows more potatoes, than the west. West Idaho, grows a lot of sugar beets, as does the East. too bad you couldn't take I-15N to Montana, you would of loved to see the "high country". the elevation might be worrisome for you "flat-landers" though. :)

Old Red's engine is sounding very good, and it's nice hearing it, but rest assured I hear your narration very clear & precise. ........ You gave me a new saying when things are all messed up "what a cluster truck this is" as I do my best not to swear. ........ Europe has some pretty cool cab-overs, don't you agree? Your advertiser or intermission driver has a really nice Volvo. ............ I think they got carried away when they designed the 2018 International Lone Star, I believe it hurt their sales as I saw a blue one thru your windshield with that pointy "V" front end. I think the front end is ugly to despite how much chrome is on it. Normally I like International trucks, for example I like the Prostar. .......... Oddly, I have a Logitech track ball mouse just like yours, I love it. ......... Since I live alone, I often watch a video while I eat supper, this time, thru the magic of your cam, this is the first time we ate together, but you were at Denny’s and I was at home, LoL. ............ Speculating, would reducing your speed help your fuel millage when you have a strong head-wind as long as you are not late for your appointment? ............I would put a 1/8 inch thick piece of plywood against the load, then hold the plywood with a load-bar or two to keep the load falling out. Is a shame how they loaded that drivers trailer ............. Is always nice riding with you Jack, stay safe, and God Bless.

Out of hours in Ogden pulling a reefer. That is exactly why the ELD was instituted. Reefer operators were forced to go too far, to fast, in too short a time. Now the driver can get some rest. I'm sure it's tough on Owner Operators bottom line, but there are sure a lot fewer rigs upside down in the ditch. There are some things that need to be fixed, but as an employed driver, it is in fact, a life saver.
