Valid points, but add one more thing - as latest research says more than 30% IITians an IIMs students don't get placement now

Well articulated and reasons are valid . India needs to upgrade its education system. Not withstanding Ashraf seems to be very critical of health system ; there is some truth but health care is easily available to all and Auyanshman card guarantees treatment; In other countries there is a long waiting list especially UK and Canada and very very costly in US. Without insurance one is sunk - there is a medical insurance mafia !! There is flourishing medical tourism ,wherein patients from US , Canada and Gulf countries come in droves to India. The : COVID was a great eye opener and Western countries too didn’t do well . The vaccine story of India is a big shoutout. Not withstanding the above a very good presentation. Kudos .

Yrs, it's easier for millionaires, talking here about Indians, which have a net worth of 10 crores + who invest in the host countries. But for other ways, commonly going abroad to study and then apply for PR/ GC through employment based visas , trust me, this path is becoming extremely difficult even for talented students from ranked universities; since last few years; can speak on this , since I have studied in the US, albeit, fifteen years ago and experienced first hand all the hassles. Not all international students get jobs in the host country.Speaking about professional degrees like law, medicine or dental, accounting, I Dian degrees are not valid and one needs to technically start their education from basic , provided one gets admits to these are very competitive. 10:11

Thank you very much Mulay for your comment. You are right, Indian students face more hurdles if they go abroad with professional degrees other than engineering. It would be great to have more inputs from you, like what did you study and where? What was your experience. That could be very helpful for other viewers. Consider making another comment.

@@ConnectingBorders I attended graduate degree program - MS in Information Systems from Central Michigan University, Mt.Pleasant, Michigan, USA from fall 2006 to fall 2008, fifteen years ago. Had a wonderful journey, always wanted to study abroad, especially, the US. The American education system is designed in such a way that it combines academics with other part time work opportunities where one is exposed to working and getting paid simultaneously. For the Masters, and even for undergrad, the grading is not only confirmatory academic exam, in fact, exam part counts only 20 to 25% weightage, rest on individual assignments, group work, research papers. Also, international students hiding F1 student visa can avail of various assistanceships from departments which considerably reduces the financial burden. I had quarter graduate research assistanceshop in the second semester, and half GA from 3rd and 4th semesters. There are a plethora of issues to talk, the list will go on! Recently, I had given one interview for one channel, have a look at it:
