My step-daughter used to attend Burning Man every year, and she loved it… We lived in Nevada so it was easily accessible… I admit…I didn’t “get it”!!

It's a lot different than when it started almost 40 years ago. One it was "discovered", the number of participants skyrocketed, and with it came the typical issues of a town with a population of 80,000, but without most of that infrastructure (though they did have a well-staffed medical tent). Traffic jams are even an issue! The location it moved to has been strongly effected by climate change, so extreme heat is a danger. You also have to be prepared for being surrounded by people under the effects of a variety of substances. That being said, it is very freeing to be able to shuck our conventional selves and just experience the music, lights, people, and the desert itself. If you have not already, I would attend some other counter-culture festivals first to judge your level of comfort and enjoyment. Bright Blessings! 🧚‍♀
