Just a note about compassion: American private citizens give more to charity (especially charities to help the poor in foreign lands) than any other people in the world. It’s not even close. I could only speculate as to why someone wouldn’t see the compassion of this nation, but it’s an objective fact.

Probably because they think healthcare should be free. That's one of the big ones.

I watch so many travel channels, and the number one place I wouldn’t like to go, but don’t hate, is Egypt.

I watched a travel vlog and Sonny said he would never return to Egypt and it changed my mind.

@@greghamann2099 Same! But after watching his video, I did a lot more watching and researching and I even watch an anonymous person that lives in Egypt and he tells all about how corrupt their government and tourist industry is. I dove down a rabbit hole and I’m 100% okay with marking Egypt off my bucket list!

It’s also fair to point out that most people base their view of a country based on their own, very limited, experience. One person said, “people there were very rude.” They couldn’t have experienced more than. .0001 % of the counties population & have made an assessment based on a very small set of datum.
@greghamann20998 ай бұрын
Not me. It is about the political policies only. Human rights and military aspirations.
@BradleyBowen-z1w8 ай бұрын
@@greghamann2099 fair point. I think I’m separating the political class/ ruling class from everyday citizens, many of whom will also dislike various political &/or cultural elements of their own nation. I’m choosing the like the nation based on the good that I see. To do otherwise, for me, feels something like, “throwing the baby out with the bath water.”

There are places I’ve been and wouldn’t return because the way they treat women differently would affect me throughout each day. It’s like going back in time regarding rights and freedom in North Africa. They are beautiful countries with a lot of history you can learn by looking at what is there, but I was too uncomfortable in Tunisia and Morocco

Difficult to hate a piece of real estate, or the people who happen to live there. Governments are easy to dislike, but thats more or less all of them.

I’d love to visit India! I’ll have to find a friend to with me because my fiancé has food sensory issues and despite all the great Indian food options nearby, he’s not a fan. Me? I love it! But I’ll eat almost anything as long as it’s not a melon 😂

I've been to about 15 countries, including Iran, liked them all. There is a country that I haven't been to, and according to the people who live there and what they've said on the news, I probably wouldn't want to go to North Korea right now.
@hannabertrand44608 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure that the country they wouldn't name is Mexico. There's a lot of social and political controversies there but they didn't want to come off as racist against Mexicans (that's a big problem atm).

Personally the only problem I have with Mexico is that the drug cartels have made it unsafe to vacation there.
