Mujahedeen were also funded by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. If speaking about that, also mention what made those Mujahedeen to start the war. Afghanistan invasion was not made by U.S only. It was in cooperation with Northern alliance of Akham Shah Masud. They won Taliban and send them back to Pakistan. A lot of humanitarian help was given by U.S. as well. During U.S stay in Afghanistan there was relative stability in there.

People in the comments have said that Afghanis don't like Pakistan because their country was stripped and given to a new country. But really, its because of President Musharraf and his role in aiding the U.S in their invasion of Afghanistan. There were many riots that took place in Pakistan due to that decision, but the U.S had given Pakistan an ultimatum to allow access for their weapons supplies or get hit by every sanction they could muster. This whole subcontinent is a mix of 100's of cultures and peoples. Balochi, Sindhi, Afghani, Pathan, Punjabi, Tamil, Gujrati etc etc. Ideally every "type" of people should then have their own country.

Afghanistan is not part of the *_Indian Subcontinent_* . In fact the entire western half of Pakistan is also not part of it either. The *_Indus_* river in Pakistan is the western border of the *_Indian Subcontinent_* .

As a gujarati, I agree. Gujarat needs to become an indeoenndted nation India/indian subcontinent us best suited as combination of European Union and Schengen zone. There can be free trade and free movement between the member states (so that the economies aren't damaged). But also so that the member states can have their own constitutions and their own autonomous government which governs their country according to the people's wants. Kind of like how in the EU, we still have old monarchies (spain) and democracies who have done away with their monarchies long ago (Germany, France etc). Decentralization and autonomity of Indian states is highly needed

Hey man, I grew up in Afghanistan and have lived there since childhood, as I am Afghan. I had to leave the country to pursue my bachelor’s degree. I worked as an English teacher in various academies in Afghanistan. I must admit that, as someone who speaks English well, I can explain why many Afghans don't cherish Pakistan. It's not the Pakistani people whom Afghans dislike but the government, which has been reinforcing various crews to invade Afghanistan for years. Pakistani people consider Afghanistan as their adopted kid. Pak helps thousands of Afghan students study in Pakistan on scholarships. Afghan cricketers learned and played cricket in Pakistan when no other country even knew afghans also wanted to play cricket. Pak welcomed millions of running away Afghan refugees during the civil war in Afghanistan. Pak supplies subsidized trade passage of incoming and outgoing afghan trade through its ports and infrastructure. There are so many things Pak is doing to help afghan people come out of their bad times. But still, the majority of afghan people are so ungrateful and promote hostility against Pak. Afghans are not ready to accept that their war mongering attitude is all the reason for the situation they are in right now. It is so sad to see such an attitude.

they are not naturally dark skin, they are extremely sun tanned/damaged due to the harsh sun rays of living in higher altitudes + extreme poverty and the fact most Afghans spend most of their lives outdoors. There's very little infrastructure and not that much greenery due to 45 years of war, so people have very little shade to protect themselves from exposure to UV radiation. Add all of these factors up and you get Afghanistan and its people being generally sun damaged/tanned. Afghans who are a little well off are not this tanned.

As a Pathan and Pakistani, we also have some grudges with Afghanistan. Because the land which they are talking about is now Pakistan is all because of a treaty signed by British Indian Empire and Afghan Empire in 1890's in which the Afghans "Sold" their lands and People to british empire. My ancestors from Pakistan side fought for Afghan kings in the Past felt betrayed and this is still runs in our generation. So how can they claim that Pakistan stole their lands as there was no Pakistan in 1890's , they didn't consented with Pushtoons of Pakistani side and sold it to British Empire like Goats and sheep ?? pakistan didnt help afghans when the USSR invaded. they dont have that type of selfless generosity and brotherhood. Pakistan saw this is as an opportunity from having a buffer zone to the USSR, weakening afghanistan governance, pushing its favored militant groups, receiving favours from the US with shiny new f16s and radars and cash. The US provided the stingers that was a game changer. Pakistan gets to much credited for his its "help" when it was just a glorified middleman with ill intent towards afghanistan...they supported the taliban in its quest to becoming a governement of afg, now they undermine it in order to destabilize Afghanistan again. ..there is nothing strange in hating pakistan, infact it would be questionable if you didnt. just ask its neighbors.

I guarantee you that most of the Pakistani people hate their government too. The reason Afghans hate Pakistan is that it has always helped one faction or another in the wars since 1970s, its purely political. Before that, there was mild nationalistic hate where Afghans demanded that half of Pakistan belonged to Afghanistan, there were even plans to combine the countries once but they were never initiated due to corruption and greedy politicians. It may happen in the future though if the Pakistani army crumbles somehow.

The reason is Afghans majority are pashtuns which always get support from fellow Pakistani pashtuns, but other ethnicities like tajiks Uzbek hazaras etc don't like it and they blame Pakistan for pashtuns dominance in Afghanistan by the way Taliban are also pashtuns
