Making a fishing idea is SUPER easy. Flying a drone is a breeze, creating an intro anyone can do in their sleep, and embedding screen shots can be done with your eyes closed. JUST KIDDING, it is super hard and you make it look easy. I totally get having the camera off or on when you think it is off. Keep u the great work and thanks for putting out another fire fishing vid!

LOL I was thinking as I started reading that you should speak for yourself :D :D I appreciate the encouragement and comradery. I'm going to be in your neck of the woods at the end of June, sadly, I won't have a rod with me. One day I'd love to fish out there.

Another great one Eric! Excited for that Truckee video, even if it's just to see my old home water with your filming.
@driftstone3 жыл бұрын
Ah yeah, it's in the pipeline next. I scrubbed all the footage except the drone from the Little Truckee. I need to figure out a way to use it because it was so pretty up there. The big Truckee will have all the things, including the sufferfest :D :D

It has always been a tough one for me too! This is by far the best I've done. I just recently started carrying a second rod to fish further away! It's really nice having access to the whole river!

@@driftstone I was euro nymphing with a black stone fly on top and a trailing black prince... had 2 toads on in the Hat 2 riffles. The first one had to be in the 5 pound class. I initially thought I snagged on a log so I started walking towards it when my line started to move... then he peeled off... I fought him for a good 5 minutes while he ran 5 times... he got off on the 5th run... the 2nd toad broke my line after a few seconds... Sooo fun fishing the Hat!!!

That's a bummer you didn't get them back, but that thrill was still there. I didn't connect with anything that big when I was there.
@purpledrakefishing3 жыл бұрын
Great vid once again! 🍻 Never had much luck at the famous powerhouse riffle except for some very small fish when I could squeeze in among the other fisherman. Every time I have gone to the PH riffle, it had the same old dude camping the prime spot the whole time flogging the water and catching nothing 😂
@driftstone3 жыл бұрын
Haha, I've heard stories how the PH riffle can get be wall to wall people. This trip was definitely the best I've done up there. I probably won't go back up there again until this winter when people won't face the colder temps.
