If you guys are interested in Elton and his career, pay attention to his band. Here we see Nigel Olsson playing drums/vocals and Dee Murray bass/vocals...they were Elton's original band (on the road Elton was a trio). There is an album called 11-17-70 of Elton, Nigel, and Dee in concert back in 1970, and the set that made him famous in the first place. It's amazing.

He’s 77 but you were close lol. I saw the Farewell Yellow Brick Road concert in 2019 and again in 2023, both times here in Australia. Soo good.

You should check out Bite Your Lip from the same gig. The same energy and an even sillier costume. (It and Your Song, not Tiny Dancer were the one's he did as Donald Duck) Also, you got some details on Elton's origin story wrong. It was a drummer and a bassist in his first gigs (Dee Murray the bass player is also in this video) and while Nigel is his longest tenured drummer, Elton did have different drummers for long stints in his career in between Nigel's. Check out Burn Down the Mission from 17-11-70 for an idea how the early trio-Elton John band sounded. It's truly marvellous how they rocked with just the three of them.

hi guys, really enjoy what you are doing on this channel!! i have a suggestion that might take your interest! there’s this really cool band called quarters of change, they are from new york city + they are one of my favourite bands at the moment. they are an indie band and it would be cool if you guys check them out sometime. if i could suggest one song it would be either T love or heaven bound.
