Gaming feels boring if you play what is new. There are hundreds of old games that are amazing and can keep u occupied and engaged forever. But the modern gaming scene is ran by companies which only focus on money and graphics rather than good story / character design. We got companies getting rid of content, dropping copy paste games and focusing only on multiplayer AND phasing out physical media thats why gaming feels boring now

Man, I played some amazing games that I love. Mass Effect, Daemon X Machina, Hardspace: Shipbreaker. The truth is gaming isn't dead, gaming will never be dead. Because games are art, they're like music, just because what's popular might not appeal to you, doesn't mean all games don't appeal to you. Also if you didn't like RE3 remake, you might just want to play the original. You might actually enjoy it way more

I think its called growing up. Or getting older. Games change but they change very slowly. For example there's not a ton of difference between Stalker 2 and Crysis. Both games you look at a screen and shoot guns, as the main point of gameplay. These days there MIGHT be 1 game per year that's truly interesting to me and that I really want to play. But sometimes its about every 3 years. When you've been there and done that, yeah its gonna get kinda boring.

I wasn't a fan of tactics when it came out, but loved the first two Fallouts. Tactics is okay now but it is more of an action game as it is real time like Baldur's gate. If you like Fallout though Underrail is quite good and olO have heard Atom RPG is okay if a bit janky.

19:56 made me far happier than it should of for the presence of Guilty Gear and Touhou (the top left corner) alone, as well as Morrowind. Not sure how well I can recommend Touhou Project to most since the main games are known to be challenging Shmups and having 19 mainline games (the first five on PC-98 that are sort of not cannon anymore with only a few return characters), six side games three of them focused on photography all still shmups of some sort, a platformer beat ‘em up, and then has six fighting games. Both genres shmups and fighting games are a bit hard to get into when new. Getting into Touhou is like discovering a Lovecractian entity (even sort of stated/commented on by the creator of it ZUN) with how you’ll come to see that it is everywhere to a point of madness and has been a huge influence on the internet. Seriously the characters are everywhere and a few stuff has even appeared on a few mainstream news outlets. It’s more than just games too as it is music, manga, novels (Fairly light ones), and short stories. It’s almost sort of THE indie/doujinshi (doujin and doujinshi only mean a work is self published) series since it’s mostly made by one dude, except for the fighting games and 17.5 along with the art for the print works all having other people assist, and has amassed a huge following for what it is and has been made since the late 90’s spawning a lot of fan content. Also, speaking of Lovecraftian, Blood Born is a great PS4 game also by From Soft. The only FromSoft game I have gotten all achievements on so far. Also, on the subject of obscure games From Soft also made Metal Wolf Chaos which is something special.

Half life is the antithesis of a boomer shooter. The age of doom and quake clones died after Half life came out. Personally I don't enjoy long hallways and puzzles, but to each there own.
