It always amazes me how people from the individual sports done in Crossfit have anything negative to say about these athletes. Crossfit is literally a sport of its own. That's like with MMA, where of course an MMA fighter will be worse at wrestling than a wrestler, and worse at boxing than a boxer. (Obviously I mean *on average*). But that's beyond the point, because it's the combination of skills that counts. Every person's day is just 24 hours, you can't outtrain someone if you go for an all-round skill set while they settled for narrow specialization.
@ikeikeforty5 жыл бұрын
Most of the top cross fitters are slower than the average casual runner. Its not about being even remotely close to competitive runners. If the title is going to be "The fittest man on earth" and they claim endurance is part of that fitness, they should have better than mediocre endurance. Currently its pretty much all about how many squats you can do when you're out of breath. Thats just my opinion though.
@quinnrafferty46355 жыл бұрын
My point is, it's cross fit athletes vs cross fit athletes. Comparing their individual times or achievements to anything else just doesn't make any sense.
@ikeikeforty5 жыл бұрын
@@quinnrafferty4635 Taken straight from their website "Our athletes are trained to bike, run, swim, and row at short, middle, and long distances guaranteeing exposure and competency in each of the three main metabolic pathways." Crossfit as a whole tends to promise that it will significantly boost people's endurance, but that claim falls short when even their top athletes struggle in endurance events.

I only know a very little about the human body. It's very interesting to watch these athletes move. Even these men have some jiggle in their Pectoral tissue: Some do, but some don't. Is it fluid retention? Also, having bulky muscles does not help with the handstands. It's obvious that practice makes the difference.
