India has built world's second commercial breeder reactor which generates more fuel than it has spent to generate power.. And india is building thorium reactors.. We have 3 stage nuclear power program where waste product from 1st stage is used as fuel in 2nd stage and waste material from 2nd stage is used in 3rd stage as fuel.. India learnt to use nuclear technology for power generation a long time ago .. Now we are building small modular reactors and heavy reactors of 900Mw power.. Also we are using nuclear technology in submarine propulsion and in future we will use it for aircraft carriers too...
