The origins of a kung fu and judo karate lies in ancient Indian fighting art form called " kalari patayu". Buddhists monk while travelling out side India learned kalari patayu fighting techniques for self defence during their travel. It is believed that the Chinese kung fu and Japanese judo karate is inspired by kalari patayu a fighting art form which was learnt by Chinese and Japanese from Buddhist monks who travelled from India.

Actually the son who survived him was a Hindu.. Son from his hardcore Hindu queen who has destroyed the original Bodhi Tree at Bodh Gaya..Son from his Buddhist wife was entered in to Buddhist Sangha order and later introduced Buddhism to Sri Lanka.. afterwards his sister also followed the same path and came to Sri Lanka and introduced female order of Buddhist Sangha. There are many theories surrounding the mystery of both of them ending up in Sri Lanka. most convenient and sensible being the fact that Sri Lanka was a safe heaven for Buddhist dynastic ties, otherwise could have been killed by Brahminic priests in India, who resent Buddhism till now. Arahant Mahinda as the propagator of Buddhism is revered in Sri Lanka only next to Buddha

Hindus not killing cows has nothing to do with reincarnation. Historically the entire Indian subcontinent was pastoral land heavily depended on agriculture and cattle. And the most important of all the cattle in the region was cow because it provides milk and milk derived dairy products like butter, ghee etc,. which are a very important source of food for the subcontinent. Over centuries cows earned respect and reverence as motherly beings which nourishes and feeds the population. Subsequently, they were absorbed in to Hindu rituals and religion as divine animals and hence no harm should be done to them. That's why Hindu religion which was/is the main religion in the sub continent worships cow. This is unlike china or japan and south east asian countries where milk products were not manufactured from animal milk but rather from plant derivatives like soy and coconut. Same with middle eastern and european countries where cows were mostly used for meat and not for dairy.

The narrator failed to state the stone writings were spread from Afganistan (Buddhas of Bamyan - a world heritage site destroyed by the Taliban) in the west to Myanmar and Thailand in the east. While describing Chandragupta he failed to mention that it was Kautilya/Chanakya (his guru, the kingmaker, and prime minister) who inspired a common young boy to overthrow the Nanda dynasty. Chanakya gave a treatise on Governance and economic policies (Arthashastra) one of the finest and detailed treatises of those times that also had commentaries of his predecessors. He was the alumni of Taxila. Taxila was the capital of Gandhara (part of present Nort-Western Frontiers of Pakistan and Kandahar region of Afganistan) from where he was displaced during the surrender of Taxila. He wanted Nanda to help fight Alexander but the emperor was an unjust ruler and was unpopular and he was insulted by the king in his court. Out of insult and anger, Chanakya resolved to make a king out of a commoner. Chanakya's and Chandragupta's legacy was carried forward by the successors and were key in building the Mauryan Empire during Ashoka the great. The teaching area where Chanakya used to teach later during the reign of Chandragupta was near present Patna (Pataliputra as known in olden times) a place called Nalanda designed similar to Taxila teaching area where Chanakya himself studied and taught. Later during Ashokan times, this area was properly built by him as a University of those times where monks of different trade imparted 'Gurukulam' style of teachings (Buddhist monasteries are inspired by the same). Later Nalanda University was the place where the Chinese travelers will come and learn a lot and were well documented by them (e.g. Huan Tsang). The massive library of Nalanda was called Dharma Gunj, meaning the Treasury of Truth or the Mountain of Truth. It contained hundreds of thousands of books. It is believed that the library of Nalanda was so huge that it burned for months after the university was ransacked by Bakhtiyar Khilji and the library was set on fire. Nalanda was attacked three times by the invaders - the Huns, the Gaudas, and finally Bhaktiyar Khilji who brought about its complete destruction. Archeologists and historians are of the opinion that just 10% of the Nalanda campus has been excavated till date. Around 90% remain to be excavated. (www.fabhotels.com/blog/nalanda-university-nalanda/#:~:text=It%20is%20believed%20that%20the,brought%20about%20its%20complete%20destruction.) Mauryan Empire started the Golden Age of India and the archeological evidence from this period onwards is well preserved even in records of foreign travelers and scholars. Many great mathematicians, scholars, writers, and surgeons belonged to this era. Even a tree in India is called Ashoka (it is not clear though the tree name came before Ashoka himself or not). A - Shoka means a person devoid of any woes and worries (shoka - in sanskrit means woes/worries. When you place 'a' in front it becomes 'devoid of') Ashokan pillar had the famous 4 - lion structure which is the National preamble of India. you can find it on the passport of any Indian citizen. And the navy blue wheel in our flag denotes Ashok Chakra/Dharmachakra that is a symbol of 'Dharma' in this context which means the duty of righteousness and truth. We Indians are obviously are linked directly or indirectly to this great King.

No, we don't respect cows because of reincarnation but because cows were the animals which they kept as a pet and we drink milk of the cow like we drink milk of our mother. So the animal which fed us with her milk is a motherly figure for us and because people had kept cows as pet animal before morden cities were established they treat it as a family member. Just as we keep dogs today. Now what if someone told you to eat you dog today in your dinner?
