While Alexander was coming to India ..... There is a great man called "chanakya" he was the king maker ..... He ask Nanda dinesty to act against Alexander while he was coming to India .... Nanda dinesty king was become the ruthless king enjoying pleasure with women's and alcohol ... He disrespected "chanakya" like don't teach me how to rule ..... So chanakya trained 'Chandragupta' at very young age ... Learn war tactics ... Which described in the video ... Not in detail due to out of subject I guess. ..... Chanakya trained and sends young warriors to join Alexander army .... They started poisoning the Alexander army ... Manipulate the army .... Burning their Flag and internal fights destroyed ... Due to weakness you know Alexander didn't succeed his dream ..... Becouse of CHANAKYA ..... As World views ..... His tactics ... He writes down all business tactics how to solve corruption ..... How to create a powerful administration (still applies to build a nation or organisation ) .... Helped large areas to rule by "Chandragupta". It was CHANAKYA .... Who thought that this people (Alexander's people ) coming again and again ..... So Chandragupta married to his daughter to become a friend. Please react on CHANAKYA ..... It's really awesome to know about the other side of a history

Ashoka is a well known king... Most of the countries where his missionaries were sent is still predominantly a Buddhist country including Myanmar, Sri Lanka and 18% of the population of China ( though they claim to be an atheistic country ), Japan , Korea and rest of south east Asia.... Though India reversed back to Hinduism after the empire's fall as the new kings promoted Hinduism and kind of discouraged Buddhism in the subcontinent though its the origin of this religion.... His stone cravings still stand today...

If you can find it read Ashoka's Kalinga inscription. It is incredible! The video only quotes a little of it. It amounts to Ashoka saying "I was a fucking douchebag. I did horrible, evil things for which I have no justification or excuse. I will from now on do better!" Just how extraordinary Ashoka's change of heart is can be read from the following quotes in a book about Ashoka: "The victorious king tells a tale of death and decimation entirely against himself, damning his actions in the very hour of what every conquering general of that period in history, regardless of country, context, and culture, would have proclaimed as a triumph. This is not just rare, it is astonishing enough to seem bewildering." Later the same author says: "Ashoka's utter uniqueness is that the one and only account that he caused to be recorded of a successful war is one in which the conventions of state propaganda are turned on their head. The triumph is recorded as a disaster. Defeat is snatched from the jaws of victory. A chronicle of imperial misfortune is concocted in defiance of the established practice of all preceding time. The emperor weeps when he ought to swagger. This reversal of the most hoary narrative tradition of conquest is now so well known that we hardly see it any longer for what in essence it was, and remains: a staggering reversal of the very conception of kingship." (Both quotes from Ashoka in Ancient India, by Nayanjot Lahiri, Harvard University Press, London, 2015 , pp. 116-117.)

Sadly that was found in far away from Kalinga. But you will find the story of revenge against the tyrant of magadha in Odisha (Kalinga) by the māhāmeghabahāna dynasty who took revenge for Kalinga by conquering magadha (mouryan empire home region, present day bihar). And surprisingly both magadha (bihar) and Kalinga(odisha) who were powerhouse in the past are now poorest among the indian states

Ashoka is fundamental to even western culture. there was so much interaction and trade between his kingdom and other countries, especially Greece and Rome. He was the first king to ever really lay out a moral ethic of governance and civility. His emissaries and edicts spread .far and wide. All of southeast Asian history is influenced by him. Even the Jewish Essene movement and beginnings of Christianity are influenced by him. (monasticism in the west is due to his influence... there was no monastic traditions in the west before Ashokan influence). Buddhism would not be a world religion without Ashoke. He is an amazing person. The reason he is unknown is we do not teach Asian history in our schools and also because his history was lost. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnSvn6qLZal4otk

One of the most interesting things is even if you committed a crime that didn’t mean Ashoka killed or imprisoned you he came up with the idea that prisoners should be freed and you were marked for your crimes but that was symbol that you could do good , help others and repent your crimes that you did become part of society again. He didn’t punish people with violence but sympathy and empathy. Ashoka actually came up with a lot things we still use in modern society. I’m not even form India but to me Ashoka is one of the greatest leaders ever in the world. Also since Ashoka had conquered so much land it stretched to modern Middle East it also can be where Abrahamic religions got the idea of the mark of the beast from. If you look it up he was the only Buddhist king of India
