In this episode of my sprinting journey I am running a 100m indoors. I really wanted to run a 200m i Oslo, but was not able to. The European Indoor Champs are approaching, and last year I also tried a 100m indoors, so this will be exciting, enjoy!

He has finally found how to relax and not rush his race, especially at the start👏 If he can relax like that during competition it’s gonna be a record breaking year in all events🏃

You should study Maurice Greene....you’re the same size.....being short and powerful like Maurice you should consider extending the initial acceleration phase with technique....not weights you’re strong enough already......I compared you’re “race” to Maurice’s wr......you took 50 steps he took 44.....why? Obviously better competition but also he had a better focus on the bio mechanical advantage of turning over and putting force into the ground with short legs than you so that his transition and glide phases where his short legs are a disadvantage were minimized. If you look at Carl Lewis or Usain Bolt’s leg lengths and the ground they cover in glide phase YOU CAN NOT MATCH THEM although your glide form is good.....also via negativa may be a good training concept...eliminating things you don’t need....you are using too many training modalities which can create overtraining especially since you’re very dedicated and talented already....congratulations on the pb

Yes, but it's not because they have the same size ( height) that the length of their legs ( and also arms ) are the same . People often forget this when they compare themselves to other athletes. I know personally for instance sprinters and regular people who are only like 5ft 10( 177 cm) but the length of their limbs ( legs and arms ) are that of a person who is almost 6ft 1 ( 186cm) but they have a short torso. Take for instance Floyd Mayweather he is only 173cm but he has a arm reach of 183 cm and the same applies for the legs. Myself I'm 5ft11but have the legs and arm length of a 6ft1 (188cm) and a short torso and this is common amongst sprinters. It seems at least that Mathias has normal legs for his size which may be a disadvantage .

Is there a specific reason for your hang snatches being clean grip? Instead of a more normal wider snatch grip?
@hovejoha
@hovejoha 2 жыл бұрын
I do both, but closer to competition I like close grip. I need to move the bar further, higher speed, and I measure higher peak power values.
