Great video! Love the recipe! Will definitely try it. Tip for your tulips. I live by Brent and Beckys Garden center. They are well known for their bulbs and have a catalog/website. Every Spring they have an amazing display of tulips. I asked Brent a couple of years ago how on earth do you keep the deer from eating your tulips. He said Plant Skyd. It is a deer spray. You mix it yourself from a powder. Brent and Beckys spray the actual bulb and allow it to dry on the bulb prior to planting every Fall. They spray the holes and the ground. Then regularly as a perimeter once the tulips bloom. I tried it last year and it actally worked and we have TONS of deer pressure. Happy Gardening! 🌷💕⚘️

Another wonderful videos with all the information needed. Quick question, How to save the bulbs from pests like Squirrels and others form eating them?
@HookedandRooted11 ай бұрын
Hi there! I have to spray the tulips as soon as they break ground or the deer will get them. As for the squirrels, they have dug some tulip bulbs up in the past. I have better luck with tulips in containers and only plant a few in ground due to the critters. However, some have used some chicken wire placed over where they've planted bulbs, and then cover back over with mulch. Then remove it just as they tulips start poking through the soil. The squirrels are most interested in the bulbs from what I understand. Bulbs like alliums, and daffodils most critters stay away from due to their fragrance, and being toxic, so they are easier bulbs to plant.

I brought it into our garage and sprayed it to make sure I don’t bring any pest into the house but I haven’t cut it back. I overwintered my mandivilla for two winters now and you are right they are slow to rebloom. I just cut them back and set them in my craft room above our garage. It is around 60 deg. and plenty of light. When do you plan to start fertilizing and watering?

Hi Lisa! I'm going to start fertilizing my mandevilla in Spring (In March) once I notice it begins to break dormancy and pushing out new green foliage. Thank you so much!! No I didn't crochet that sweater. I mostly make hats. These pups who get in the trash! They are so naughty, but they're lucky we still love them. Our dog also learned how to open the pantry door, so we had to change the knob 😂
@lisab.6818 Жыл бұрын
@@HookedandRooted hey Steph thanks for clarifying about when to fertilize as they're coming out of dormancy and that makes so much. I have three dogs and only one is the trash digger he's blind and deaf so I know his little snout smells everything way more than everybody else's. The price of plant has gone up so much as well as everything else and I'm trying to overwinter as much as I can or try and cuttings and trying to propagate.
