Indoor Dryer Vent Kit - Installation instructions: Dundas Jafine

Dundas Jafine’s ProFlex™ Indoor Dryer Vent Kit can be used to vent your ELECTRIC clothes dryer indoors when outdoor venting is not possible. This kit is ideal for apartments, condominiums and R.V.s.
The kit includes a 4” x 5’ aluminum foil transition duct, a plastic lint reservoir with optional mounting ring and 2 plastic adjustable clamps.
This product should NOT BE USED WITH GAS CLOTHES DRYERS.

I did exactly as instructed but a lot of water and moisture accumulated around the floor of the round canister.

Thanks for your feedback on this product. Condensation will build up from time to time due to the water and heat mixing. Adding to much water to the cannister can also cause moisture accumulation.

Is this product meets with building code compliance while installing in condominium?

Indoor dryer venting in general will never meet code as building codes require a dryer to be vented outdoors. This product provides an option for those instances where outdoor venting is not possible. Also, this product should only ever be used with electric dryers and not gas dryers.

I don't believe that it's needed to comply with building code because doesn't affect any aspect of the building. The only thing it is needed is a professional electrician to switch the current voltage to 250 watts.

The fumes a gas dryer emits are dangerous. If these fumes are not able to escape through the vent, carbon monoxide will enter your house. Therefore indoor venting is not an option for gas dryers.

The intention of the bucket is to catch the lint. Once filled with water it will draw the lint into the bucket itself, no need for an additional filter. It would not be advised to attach panty hose directly to the duct as the duct can become quite hot and panty hose is made of nylon
