Back in the 70ds in the winter we raced indoor on dirt . In Fargo N Dak. Then there was a race in Minneaplois Minn. It was a concrete floor. Thay sprayed coke pop syrup. On the concrete. Talk about a hookup . It was all 2 stroke . Got a love that smell of blenzol & klotz.

That was some crazy stuff and despite all the bumping and banging, I never saw a fight.

There was actually a AMA Grand National race for a few years in the late 70's at the Cow palace in San Francisco - concrete track and all. The Cow Palace track was larger than this, but it was still a *short* track. I saw King Kenny win one night on a Yammie 360. Good times. :-)

@@stevehageman6785 I've seen some videos of that place and it looked sick. Indoor short tracks aren't everyone's cup of tea but I still enjoy going up to Timonium. And the track in Salem, Oregon looks awesome!

In the late 70's in Northern Calif. We had indoor 'Cement' short tracks in the winter. To get the tires 'sticky', people would spray 'Engine Start' on them, the whole place smelled of Either. Looking back I am surprised that the whole place didn't just blow up one night! Ha, ha, ha, ha.....

Not bad I’ve flagged many indoors in west Texas this seamed really small but takes a special kind rider for this

I was about 6 feet tall trying to do this. My legs were just too long, and didn't fit anywhere because the bikes leaned over so far. These little kids always won because they were about 4 1/2 feet tall and they just leaned over until their straight out leg touched the floor. Ha, ha, ha, ha...... But we had fun anyway. :-)
