Lots of water and little coffee. Here in the Dominican Republic we take it darker.

Not sure what you saw on screen, but I use 21 grams of coffee for 1 cup - that's not exactly "lots of water and little coffee" lol. But OK.

Just picked this up from the grocery store with the idea of griding it espresso-fine and running it through my old-ass espresso machine. Based on the other comments, it should work for that. Thanks for this review!

In order to truly appreciate it, I suggest you make it like Dominicans do, using a moka pot. It’s like reviewing Turkish coffee without using their methods of brewing their coffee.

I have a mocha pot so I'll try it out. As for your point though, it's not the same comparison. Turkish coffee is ground to a certain degree (and mixed with cardamom) to the extent that you HAVE TO make it using a Turkish coffee pot and with the proper method. When it comes to any whole-bean coffees (like this one), some methods might be better than others (objectively so) but the coffee was not made incorrectly in this video.

I like this coffee! My mom first brought some back from the DR. I’ve never made it in a French press. Rarely do I make drip coffee unless we have guests, but I like it that way and (wait for it) it makes great espresso. Strong earthiness that reminds me of certain Cameroon AF cigars. Great review! Side note: ever consider reviewing different brew methods of the same coffee?

Thanks Tyler! Always appreciated. And yes I actually do try different methods with most coffees just to compare. Don't think I'd bother doing an on-camera comparison between the methods for standard reviews though. That would be way too much work for a video that gets 100 views lol

It's a good coffee for the price, sits between the 3rd wave $20/lb coffee and the cheaper dunkin/supermarket beans. Makes a really good cold brew, French press, superautomatic espresso, and aeropress as well.

Had this when I was on my honeymoon 15 years ago. I had it I. The DR made by people who drink it daily. It was one of my favorites. I brew my coffee old school, in a percolator. I'm going to have to try this again, with a percolator grind. Thanks for the review

I had this coffee for the first time in 2008 when I first went to the DR. I wasn't a coffee aficionado at the time (not that I really am now, but I've since taken the time to understand more about the process,) and enjoyed it while there. They sell it at my grocery store, so I have had it since. It's okay, but not quite to my personal taste now. I don't really taste that initial sour note you mention, but I agree with basically everything else you said. The bitter notes are quite subdued overall.

Agreed on all counts. Definitely a decent roast but not a favorite personally.

How about a Garbage Palate Coffee Blend? Made from just a touch below the finest of coffee beans and of the not quite highest of quality standards. Yet it would be delicious. Lol

Lol that would be awesome

Hey man, could you do a review on a specialty black rifle coffee that you get from their coffee subscription? I happened to try some back in November and it is by far some of the best coffee I've ever had. Don't think you'll be disappointed. It is a new coffee every month but it would be cool to see brcc back on the channel
@ShouldIDrinkThis4 жыл бұрын
Hey Gage! I don't buy anything to review on this channel. I put hours into notes and filming and editing. It all gets sent in by subscribers and companies. BRCC definitely will NOT send me anything. They wouldn't even return my emails when I was trying to do a FREE VIDEO about their company. So basically you'd have to send that bag in. If that's something you want to do, email me at ShouldIDrinkThis@gmail.com

@@ShouldIDrinkThis I'll definitely have to do so when I get a new coffee in! Might not be BRCC but I'll definitely use this to support the channel. Love the vids man keep it up!

You don’t like that a Spanish company has Spanish written on their product?!?
