How do we find out the turns ratio in 3 phase squirrel cage Induction motor.It was basically required to know the rotor physical resistance from R2' obtained during analysis of Locked rotor test data as wel as no load.

Hai sir Why rotor is rotating less than synchronous speed? Why rotor is rotating same direction of stator Field Why not for opposite to stator field In case of motoring mode Plz give me clarification?

Thank you sir . Can you tell us who decided the % of slip? for instance we have two motors , in one motor the slip is 3% and the other 5% . Does it depend on the construction of motor or what? thanks

Usually the name plate slip is the full load slip value...it is upto the designer to select the full load speed thereby deciding a full load slip value

Sir, guide to this calculation how to find slip An Induction Motor has an efficiency of 90% when the load is 50 hp at this load the stator copper loss, rotor copper loss and iron loss are all equal. The mechanical losses are one third of the iron loss. Calculate the slip.
