Is there a specific degree you have to obtain to get a career in this field? My school offers psychology degrees but i'm wondering do I have to go for a concentration?

It's good to get a business undergrad degree and maybe a minor in something to do with computers or psychology. Then go into graduate school for psychology. But there's not really any major or graduate program primarily focusing on i/o psy. But, since it's a combination of business and psychology that's the best route.

A career in I/O Psychology is obtained through a Masters or Ph.D. program. An undergrad Psychology degree with a lot of research experience is what they look for.

in reply to hckyplr588 :Thought I was the only one but I totally noticed a very subtle shift in his expression, from being confident to being a bit stiff. It almost seemed as though he wasn't convinced about his statement regarding the NEED for I/O psychologists; especially when he uttered the word, "need". Oh well, still taking it as my major.
