At the end of the Pacific War, the Imperial Japanese Army constructed Asakawa Underground Bunkers in Hatsuzawa and Takao towns in Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan.
The underground bunker was the evacuation factory of Nakajima Aircraft Musashi Works, and an industrial railway from Asakawa Station (now Takao Station) on the Chuo Line to the military factory was under construction, but construction was interrupted at the end of the war, and railroad was abandoned.
The embankments and cut-offs where the railroads were supposed to be installed have already been leveled, and now urbanization is progressing, but the shape of the embankment remains partially in the mountain side.
