Christopher is absolutely correct. I got my industrial machine about 2 years ago. I was able to create over 50 items within 2 months and not sewing everyday. It is a beautiful as he demonstrates. The key is the speed and is also allows you sew without a lot of pinning and straight lines and full body floor length skirts I specialize in African attire with is cotton and the performance is exceptionally wonderful. Also the table holes the fabric in place no more dropping of the machine which cause back strain. It will sew layers and layers of fabric.

I have had a used industrial machine for 45 years, I replaced it 2 years ago with a JACK . I totally agree with Christopher , you will never look back the machine makes jobs so much easier. The machines is sunk into the table so doesn’t slide around the table, I have two domestic sewing machines just for decorative stitching but I don’t use them often. It’s lovely to hear someone else so enthusiastic about an industrial machine 😂

I love industrial sewing machines. They are beasts. Please what needles do you use on your straight sewing lockstitch machine? I get confused with DB and DP designations on needles but I am very familiar with needle sizes.

Hi Christopher. Thank you for sharing this machine. I have always used Industrial Machines. LOVE THEM. Started in an underwear Factory when I was 15. Then bought my own. Anyway, many moons ago, but have never seen the attachment you have for thread cutter/guide. Do you mind sharing how I can get my hands on one of them please. I'm from Australia. Cheers. :)

I get all of my industrial accessories on eBay. Whenever I am interested in anything, I do a Google search and an eBay search. May I suggest you try that as well.

For anyone looking for this attachment, it's called a "Grip Snip" and sells for just a couple dollars on eBay.

I’ve just bought my third industrial. It is a Mitsubishi LS2-130. The wheel has a cover over it and I can’t see how to turn the wheel by hand which you need to do. Are you familiar with this machine? Love industrial machines.

do you have any tips on installing a round head needle in an industrial. have problems getting needle in position since it is rounded, Thx

I love your videos because of the content and your enthusiasm.I'm retired and shouldn't have spent even $300 for the vintage industrial I bought today (looks identical to yours, different brand). I'm looking forward to using it, but it goes too fast for what I want to do. Is there any way to sew more slowly without getting a servo motor?
@katya_fhs5 жыл бұрын
The motor I got installed for mine has speed control and you can go as slow as you want, but at least with my machine, you need to run it without a presser foot and without a needle at full speed from time to time if you are going to be sewing slowly. My machine oils itself, but the oil doesn't start coming into the upper parts of the machine until it's running at a certain speed. Around 2,000 rpm or higher.

Throughly agree with you. Love my juki ddl8700. Sews beautifully and quiet. I hem or mend all the jeans for the men in my family. The machine does it with no effort, no skip stitches, goes over the side seams like they don't exist.

Hi and thanks for your video, I purchased a used industrial walking foot sewing machine that was sewing pretty god then all of the sudden it started to fray the thread at the needle. When stitching like in your video it sews good for about 12" then you get a bunch of thread wadded up above the needle and looking at the bottom stitches some are frayed. Any idea what is wrong or how to fix i? I wanted to post a photo but I don't see anyway to do that on here. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
@katya_fhs5 жыл бұрын
My machine did that once, but it was a certain type of thread it didn't like. I switched to Coats & Clark thread and I haven't had issues ever since. Sometimes thread shreds when it doesn't have enough room to move freely in the eye of the needle. Might be that the thread you're using is too thick for the needle you have.

the ones we have at work, (valley apparel) are crazy fast, mines a Kiki, we also have brother ones. But when you back tack at the end it cuts it for you. I’m pretty sure my speed isn’t even turned all the way up and I can top stitch inseam a bundle (20) in 15 minutes. It blows my mind that this looked so slow to me when 3 years ago this would look fast and intimidating. Hopefully that didn’t sound cocky. 😂
