Thanks for posting this. I was his girlfriend for three years and during the recording of Berserker. hearing this brought back a lot of memories of late and long nights in the studio. We lived on KitKats from the vending machine and tea and chip butti sandwiches. Tessa Niles was a fabulous person (backup singer) and Cedric would pop in now and then. Russ and Chris as well. Fond memories. Great album!!

Were you also with him during I, Assassin, Warriors, or the Fury?

So you're Tracey Adam?

Why would you say that? Unless you're Tracey Adam, no, you weren't Gary's girlfriend during the time this album was made.

Thanks for posting this - I played bass on this track! I always liked it and have it on video, but now I can show my students via KZbin.

@CONSIDERABLYMORE1 Thanks for your kind words! I wouldn't know which track "Here Am I" is, I'm afraid. I did a lot and they didn't have titles when I played my bass part. I remembered this track, though, because it was done for a TV show. Gary gave me a lot of freedom to come up with stuff that he liked. It was a lot of fun. He asked me to tour with him, but I was very busy at that time, so I had to say no. I'm sure my life would have been very different if I had said yes....

@CONSIDERABLYMORE1 Thanks again! I'm enjoying listening to this stuff again after such a long time. Praise must go the engineer, who sadly died last year, who got such a great bass sound out of my Wal fretless. I'd love it if Gary called me up. Perhaps I should try and make contact with him myself....

Great to hear that Martin, been trying to see what you're upto nowadays, as i liked your stuff so much, I'm a bass player too, nearly 30 years, not gigging anymore, it all got a bit samey. been playing all the Paul Gardiner Numan basslines since i heard 'em. keeps me out of mischeif, i like that hard slap sound you got, wonder what bass/strings it was, I'm looking at a Musicman / flatwounds.. not sure tho :)

keeping it alphabetical? You are amazing! I'm a crummy bassplayer, but whenever I think of bass I wish I could play, it would be you. (or tony Levin.)

Man...I know Bowie wanted to twat Gaz for this look but i there's nothing wrong with being inspired by your peers.I think Numan surpasses Bowie lyrically.
