Feel free to post those blocked videos with a strong filter over the video. We Pentaholics don’t mind at all. We want to see your reactions if possible! I’ve also seen reactors re-post blocked videos with occasional interstitial title cards: “momentary copyright pause” or similar. Regardless of whether you can eventually share those reactions, how lucky that you’re having a first-time PTX journey. Enjoy every jaw-dropping moment!

Very enjoyable reaction. Talent just oozing out. Especially impressive as this was filmed only six months or so after winning the Sing Off and then being dropped by Sony "as a capella just won't sell." Started their own KZbin channel with basically no budget and three Grammies, several gold and platinum records, sold out world concerts, concerts at LA Forum and Madison Square Garden and 10 years later, here they are. As a great-grandmother who has enjoyed popular music since the 50s, I can assure you that PTX has ageless appeal.

This is super-early, when they were making the videos pretty much by themselves (counting arranger Ben Bram as part of "themselves") and promoting themselves on KZbin. They had won the competition on the TV show The Sing Off in autumn 2011, but the promised prize of a record deal fell through. They decide to go it on their own. In this, IIRC, Kirstie and Mitch are 19, Scott is recently 20, and the other two are just a couple of years older. The entire group has been together less than a year at this point. ETA: Don't lose hope about the blocked videos. Other reactors have found that the videos get released after a couple of days.

Their earliest material is safe. Madison Gate doesn't send the copyright media to break your kneecaps for making a music reaction. (PTX Vol I, PTX Vol II, and PTXmas) Their "Evolution of ..." videos are safe. Their live performances are safe (except for the Christmas special live performance of "Hallelujah", which occasionally gets blocked). Many reactors have worked around the restrictions by blurring the video or dropping an overlay to partially obscure the images. That usually works, others pause a couple of times to break up the video. Hopefully, you will find a way to work around the roadblocks the label throws up.

I found your channel at random, and I loved your reaction as well as your insights. Gotye did fall off the map after this, though I think he was mostly touring around Europe for a while. This entire album of his - "Making Mirrors" - is a must-listen. As someone who's been involved in music for forty years, it takes a special album to make me stop everything, sit down, and listen because it's the only thing I can do; I'm so absorbed by the melodies and harmonies, counter-melodies and percussion (and he uses some unique percussion!) on this album - it's definitely one to put on and get lost in. (I'm a PTX fan from their beginning on "The Sing-Off", and they have yet to put out a song that I don't like. I look forward to seeing your reaction to other PTX videos!) (Sorry this is so long.)

they started on Season 3 of a competition show called the Sing Off... which they won, and the rest is history. Hey, I love your reactions! After a pause, you might consider backing up to the second or two before the break, so we hear every note, though. Just a suggestion. Also, this video is at least eight years ago, maybe nine now. They were so broke they couldn't afford professional help, but were recording with i-phones in parking garages for the sound enhancement. Fast forward to today! They just recorded a live version of the song from Rent, Seasons of Love, on a rooftop in LA. This appeared on the "Capital Fourth" show that PBS puts on every year. The cool thing is, you won't have to worry about being blocked, and it is SO FABULOUS with Kirstie taking the lead and smashing it! Really, just do it for me and other fans! Please?

From what I have seen if you give the description area about the copyrights' most of the time it does not get blocked' and we are wanting the reactions so stopping often during the video is expected, and that also helps to not get blocked.

Pause, react, small rewind, listen, pause react... rinse and repeat This is about the reaction to what you are experiencing - not us listening to an uninterrupted performance most of us already know off by heart, or if not - can go listen to the material from the originals Hint: the more breaks and pauses during the reaction = no blocking, because reacting is very obviously happening, not "ok, I'll play this cool performance uninterrupted and say - wow cool - at the end" NOTE: Most Pentaholics view these to relive our own first reactions to these performance - so, react, react, react... and if in doubt, react

Yeah Cliff! Love that you're reacting to PTX :). Pretty much remember when this cover originally released, repeatedly listened to it for weeks on end. Avi's bass & Kev's beatboxing coupled together with Scott, Mitch & Kirstin's heavenly harmonies = Accapella Perfection :). The new guy, Matt who replaced Avi is good but imo, Pentatonix hasn't been the same without Avi, not only did he have fat low end bass vocals but he can really sing too.
