Your video helped make my decision, I got one yesterday, holy shit. Wild badger power for the win!!! Takes down 1 inch trees like they’re nothing. Sturdy all aluminum shaft and head. Very adjustable handles and strap. And honestly strap isn’t necessary.

I forgot to click on your affiliate link, here's some beer money. Just got mine and went together and started up in less than 10 minutes. Have a lot of thorn bushes in Brown County woods to tackle and didn't want to tear up something nice. Thanks for putting this on our radar!

Thank you, Jim! That's very kind! Yes, this should certainly do the trick. It's pretty powerful. If it holds together for a few years I will consider it a win!

I bought the 26 cc 4 in one wild badger kit. It's great for medium brush and it had a hedge trimmer, nice steel blade and chainsaw attachments that work.

Hey looking to actually buy one is it still holding up well?
@monmixer
@monmixer 5 күн бұрын
@@Hydra-px7pu So far, can't really give you much for long term because I live in Southeast Ohio and we have been under drought conditions for some time. I have only cut my grass 4 times this summer. what I can tell you is it started up on the second pull almost every time and the third pull the first time only. The attachments all work. Chain say on a pole that you can angle and hedge trimmer. I have not used the attachments much but will be this fall. I'm going to use that to clear brush with the blade and I have tried the blade and it worked great.

I LOVE the Forester brush cutter. We use it every weekend on our WORX but need something gas as the battery life is not cutting it for our .75 acre property. Definitely considering this WB as an affordable alternative for bamboo/brush removal. I'll let you know if we get it and how it works out.

Yea, the forester attachment works well! I used the WB again just yesterday. It has quite a bit of power for a brush cutter. Still very happy with it.

Thank you for sharing this video. I bought one of these last week and got sick. I've been ready to use it this week but needing wood cut up for wood stoves has slowed me down. When I run my Wild Badger, Ill write and tell how it worked. My chainsaws are about the same cc. Show a clip on how to load the string, please.

Echo (like you blower), and don't look back. My friends and I have the PAS system, and I can share the various attachments. One buddy recently switched to battery powered and can still use the attachments.

What size is your Echo trimmer? The key difference I'm trying to highlight here is cost and power output. I won't use this as my everyday trimmer, but it sure is a monster.

Thanks for the video. Great machine. A little deceptive showing/implying the 52cc starting on the first pull. These are well known to be tough starters 5 to 7 pulls. But otherwise great review!

Just bought the forester blade as I have a project of clearing Russian thistle and other invasives on the property. Does the forester blade need an adapter of any kind to fit on the Badger?

I don't know all the varieties, but it will take down 1.5" Asian honeysuckle. Put that cutter head on that I linked and probably 3" easy.

I haven't ever run a Ventrac. I've been a diehard Grasshopper fan for a long time. Would be interesting to compare the two.
@timadamany
@timadamany Жыл бұрын
@@IndyFarmLife The safety aspect of a Ventrac is awesome. With it turning and articulating in the center, all 8 wheels touch the ground at all times, even when in rough terrain and climbing over objects. Plus the huge variety of attachments is nice. I have the 96" turf deck, the snow blower, turbine blower (for leaves and various cleanup), power bucket, aerator with knives that slice rather than pull out cores, and the sod cutter. Only residential use here. The 4520N with fuel injection would be what I would buy today, i have 4520Z and it's the most amazing machine I've ran. Love your channel!
@IndyFarmLife
@IndyFarmLife Жыл бұрын
@@timadamany Yea, I have read great things/seen videos on them. For me, it would be a tough decision because of the other machines (Grasshopper and JD 4052R) that I already have. It's truly amazing how much of a difference a good piece of equipment can make. I'm glad you enjoy my channel! I don't post near as much as I would like to, but I try to keep it moving! May have to do a live in the near future. I haven't ever done one.
@timadamany
@timadamany Жыл бұрын
@@IndyFarmLife Agreed. I don't have a need for a typical 'farm' tractor, that's why the Ventrac made sense for me. It's not for everyone, but I saw you trimming that brush and instantly thought the Ventrac would be ideal. Keep on keeping on! I, too, have thought about building a KZbin channel with all the projects I do around my property, but I'm the kind of guy that just wants to get the job done and not waste time, and filming everything seems like such a time-consuming task.
@IndyFarmLife
@IndyFarmLife Жыл бұрын
@timadamany Yes, I struggle with that too. I often don't film as much as I could/should because of that. Young kids, a day job, and lots of property to maintain don't leave a lot of extra time!

It's a good deal for something you only use occasionally. It's like the Harbor Freight tools. If you wanted to spend a ton of money on a ditch trimmer, just buy a mini excavator and mower head, LOL!
