Kipchoge's English is not great but he speaks from the heart, you can still understand what this event means to him. The man has single handily put marathon running on the map, he is the equivalent of what Michael Jordan is to basketball, what Tiger Woods is to golf and what Lionel Messi is to football. He is the greatest of all time, and we will probably never see such a runner in our lifetime again. The humility of the man is outstanding, there is no I but we. Nothing is possible without the team and he knows that. Not only is he the greatest marathon runner of all time, he is one of the greatest role models in sport of all time. He will inspire many kids to take up running and this will drastically improve health around the world. Bravo Kipchoge. Bravo.

I think Kipchoge must have a resting heartrate of around 2 bpm, so relaxed and calm he is

There were a few questions about how the crowd affected him today as compared to his previous attempt. Eliud simply says the experience of the first attempt helped him today and does not mention the crowd. While watching I had the feeling that this man does not even notice the crowd, he is simply running, putting out his best effort and enjoying being tucked behind his pacemakers. I think he appreciated the fact the crowd was there before and afterwards but during it was as if he was in a tunnel.

Eliud still has at least 1 more time to prove what is truly impossible, sub2 in real marathon, today he ran 1:59:40 but still looked like he can go much more faster, so it is possible, plz do the miracle one more time at berlin 2020, the sub 2 is in your hands, like this to let him know, we are only 1min40sec away from wr sub2, yes IT IS POSSIBLE

How is he able to walk?! His legs and entire body has to be beyond sore. I’ve ran and completed 2 full marathons. Afterwards I was super sore. Eliud is super human. I literally cried tears of joy when he crossed the finish line.
