The Warriors Superteam was completed when Kevin Durant signed as a free Agent in 2016. However, the Warriors core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green took years to assemble. This video details the rough times that happened beforehand and all the major events that led to the Warriors becoming one of the greatest teams of all time.

Th3 just because he didn’t win a championship doesn’t mean he wasn’t a winner.. he knows what he’s talking about but has a lot of bias in his arguments.. and he was right.. you have to be able to do other things than just shoot 3s which the Warriors did do..

@Arch Stanton No shit.. You of course of to knock down the 3.. But that's not all the warriors were great at.. Defensively they were elite.. They could rebound, very versatile and Durant carried them with his midrange game at times.. So obviously you're the one that's living under a rock you dumbass...

That sounds like a statement a lot of fans would've made prior to 2009...and none of us have won Championships either. And lets not pretend that Curry and Klay are just jump shooters, they are two of the greatest shooters in NBA history. Durant aint bad either for a 7 footer lol. This team is the exception and not the rule. Changed the way the entire league plays. Only problem is, no team will ever beat them 4 out of 7 games as long as its Klay and Curry together at close to full strength. Maybe a team will eventually concentrate on defense and not trying to outscore a team that can put up 120 with ease.

Everyone gets pissed and says GSW is a super team and blah blah blah. But the truth is they took mediocre players like Thompson, Green, and even Steph in the beginning and made them all stars. The best thing is they all play phenomenal TOGETHER. It is rare to see a team with that much individual talent mesh together and play well collectively. That is their biggest strength.

As a Dubs fan I never saw them as a championship team & I was also against the Monta trade...but I was wrong...I guess growing up watching Run TMC & C-Webb/Spree eras I was satisfied w/them just making the playoffs & early exits ...but thanks to the new owners & GM back then that had the vision & 3 championships later I can die happy when that day comes a knocking.

Literally the second Durant signed with them I'm sure most people around the league fully expected them to win AT LEAST 2 or 3 more titles. People were shocked when they lost to the Cavs in 2016 after winning 73 games without KD, and you think that having that team + Kevin Durant would lead people to doubt them? How does that make any sense? It would've been sad if they HADN'T won 2 chips in a row. It was the expectation, they simply did what they we're supposed to do.

Idk if anyone will agree, but Steph carried the Warriors to the No. 1 team in the league today. People might say “no KD changed the team” while nope Steph did it. I can see how Steph needed some help from Klay. But I swear, I get so mad when people say KD made the team better
@stars4limits

Kd did make them better. He provides rim protection and defense against bigs like lebron. But Steph and klay also make the warriors unstoppable. It’s a team game. Each piece serves a different function. At their best Steph and klay lead the shooting, and dray and kd defend the front court. That’s their most dangerous level.

In this era of “super teams” you really have to respect the Warriors’ success. Aside from getting KD, which is somewhat moot considering they got a championship without him, the Warriors truly started from the ground up and were not a team full of players who made trade requests or simply acquired LeBron and other “stars.” They developed their talent, their management and team. It’s very respectable. Incredible video. Very well done. Thank you for making this!

Stephen Grigg exactly, Warriors were literally nobodies for most of my life. It’s amazing to see them get the whole league salty with how unbelievably good they are now, and to know that they did it all from a humble background. But it’s not like the NBA has never seen a dynasty before; does no one remember how good the lakers and Celtics have been in the past? When it’s all said and done, I’m glad that these warriors will go down as probably the most formidable team ever made; idgaf what old heads say talking about “warriors wouldn’t keep up against past teams”. It should be clear at this point that this team would give any team in history a run for their money and then some.
