It is you who must read history and write a sensible Comment. The Solomonic Dynasty have been existing more than 3000 Years. The Oromo Migration has occurred 550 Years a go. Of course there are many millions of Amharas who have been mixing with Oromos since the Oromos arrival in the Central and Northern part of Ethiopia. The fact is many Oromos are mixture of Amharas and vice versa. However, I have no problem if his father is partially Oromo. Again You never utter a word about the mother of HIM Haile Selassie. The problem is some ethnocentric people try either to take the history of Amhara and own it or they want to falsify and tarnish it to satisfy their feelings!!

Thank you for providing this and other historical facts in general about Ethiopia, Ethiopians its culture historical artifacts and its wonderful kind strong free spirit people. One of the big reason Ethiopians speak about their past royal monarch and feudal system looks like ignorance of their own historical facts. As a former teacher I witnessed Ethiopian school system does not teach her past as they should. This unpleasant, misguided education system lead the four troublemaker tribes, Amhara, Tigre, Somali (and other smaller tribes) to blame everything bad on former Ethiopian leaders without knowing how our historical government structure were based on. If you compare Taytu, Zewditu , Sheba Haile Selassie , Menelik, Theodoros and many other past Ethiopian leaders with the rest of the world prior to 1800 our leaders were much better disciplined, loving, God fearing family man/women. they didn’t cut enemies competitive heads in puplic like Europeans did. My point we have good history to tell don’t be afraid to tell it as it was. Because of those Ethiopian brave men and women leaders, we stay free by avoiding or defending our God given freedom by refusing to be slave of another two-legged human being. Go ahead compare our leaders with any modern leaders like Abraham Lincoln of USA (the man I love and respect) Churchill of Great Britain, of de Gaulle of France, Gandhi of India even Mandela they all fight for their country so do Ethiopian leaders. As a human being they may misstep here and there to protect their beloved Ethiopia; what they did not do was SALE Ethiopia for money, fame , or power, please don’t tarnish our history by talking stupid! Rather let’s celebrate our past by telling story like this. Again, thanks for the wonderful presentations of ራስ መኮንን ወልደሚካኤል. God Bless Ethiopia and her people. የፊደል ኃውልት የሰው ዘር መገኚያ ምንጭ፥ የእርሻና የከብት እርባታ መጀመሪያ የሆነችው ኢትዮጵያ በተከታታይ በመንግሥትነት በመኖር ረዥም ዘመናት ካስቆጠሩት ጥቂት ሀገሮች አንዷ ነች። ታሪኳ እንደሚያሳየው ኢትዮዽያ ከመጀመሪያውኑ የተለያዩ ነገዶችን ሕብረ መንግሥት በመመስረት የራሷን ሥልጣኔ ባህልና ስነጽሁፍ የፈጠረች ሀገር ነች። ኢትዮዽያ ሥልጣኔዋን ለሌሎች ህዝቦች በማካፈል ከሌሎችም በመቀበል አሳድጋለች አስፋፍታለች ጠብቃለች ። ከሥልጣኔዋ መሠረታዊ ምንጮች አንዱ የኢትዮጵያ ፊደል ነው። ይህ ፊደል ሀገሪቱ እኔነትዋን መንግሥትነትዋን ጠብቃ እንድትኖር ካስቻሉዋት ዋነኛ መሣሪያዎች አንዱ ነው። ይህ ፊደል ቀደምቶች ለመጪው ትውልድ ባህላቸውን ግኝቶቻቸውን ስሜታቸውን ያስተላለፉበት መሣሪያ ነው። ለኢትዮጵያም ስነ ጽሑፍ መፈጠርና ማደግ ምክንያቱ ይህ ፊደል ነው። ይህ ፊደል ብዙ ውጣ ውረዶችን አልፏል። በተለያዩ ጊዜያት የተነሱ የሀገር ጠላቶች ሊያጠፉት ቢሞክሩም እሱ ግን እያሸነፈ ዛሬን ደርሷል። ወደፊትም በአሸናፊነት እንደሚኖር አልጠራጠርም!!! ኢትዮዽያ አዳዲስ አስተሳሰቦችን አትፈራም። ኢትዮዽያ ተራማጅ ሰዎችን አትጠላም። ለዚኽም ማስረጂያው በፈረኦን ሲፈለግ ለነበረው ለታላቁ ሰብኣዊ ሙሴ መስተንግዶ መስጠትዋ ነው። ለዚኽም ማስረጂያው በሮማውያን ጨካኝ አውሬዎች ሲፈለግ የነበረውን ቅዱሱን ቤተሰብ (ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስንና ቤተሰቡን) በመቀበል በጣና ደሴቶችና በዜጋመል (ደብረ ሊባኖስ) ኮረብታ ላይ ክፉው ዘመን እስኪያልፍ ማስተናገዷ ነው። ለዚሁም ማስረጃው ነቢዩ መሐመድን ጠላቶቹ ባሳደዱት ጊዜ ተከታዮቹ ፍትህ በሰፈነባት እውነት በነገሰባት ኢትዮዽያ መጠጊያና መከላከያ ማግኘት መቻላቸው ነው። ለዚሁም ማስረጃው በጭለማው ዘመን አውሮፓውያን ክርሲቲያኖች አንጃ በመፍጠር ሲጨፋጨፉ ኢትዮዽያ መጠጊያና ምግብ በመስጠት ብዙዎችን ብጹአን ከሞት ማዳኗ ነው። ዛሬ ግን ሰለጥንን፣ አለፈልን፣ በሲሳይ ቤታችን ተሞልቷል ባዮች ኢትዮዽያውያን ስደተኞች አስቸገሩን በማለት ዓለም አቀፍ መድረክ ላይ ቆመው ድምጾቻቸውን ከፍ አድርገው ይነግሩናል። ለዓለም እርሻንና ምርጥ ዘርን የከብቶች እርባታን ያበረከተው የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ አይደለምን? ረሀብ አዳክሞት ልጆቹም እየሞቱ ለዘር ያስቀመጠውን እህል ሳይበላ የእህል ዘሮች እንዳይጠፉ፣ የእርሻ ስልጣኔ እንዲቀጥል መስዋእት የኾነውስ የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ አይደለምን? የዛሬዎቹ ባለጊዜዎች ለዚህ ሕዝብ የስንዴ እርዳታ አደረግንለት እያሉ በዜና ማሰራጫዎች ያስወራሉ። የእህልን ዘሮችን ከእንክርዳድ ለይቶ የዓለምን ሕዝብ ከእልቂት ያተረፈው ይኽ ህዝብ መሆኑ ግን አይነገርም። ወንድሞቼ እህቶቼ ይህ ሁሉ ጥረት እንደ ቀድሞዎቹ ቅኝ ተገዥ ህዝቦች ታሪካችንን እንድንረሳ ነው። ራሣችንን እንድንጠላ ነው። ታሪኩን የረሳና ራሱን የጠላ ህዝብ ደግሞ ወደፊት የሉትም። ቴምፕለሮች የላሊበላን አብያተ ክርሲቲያናት ገነቡላችሁ ይለናል ኻንኮክ፤ ኢትዮጵያውያኖችም በዚህ አፈ ታሪክ ማመን መጀመራቸው አስገራሚ ነው። መጽሐፉ እንደ ዋቢ የታሪክ መጽሐፍ ይጠቀሳል።በኢትዮጵያ የመጽሐፍት መደብሮች የቦሌን «Duty Free Shop» ጨምሮ ይሸጣል። በኢትዮጵያ ቴምፕለሮች እንዳልነበሩ አልቫረስም ይናገራል። ለሎንዶንና ለዋሽንግተን ድርጎ በላዎች፤ ለፈረነጁት እንበለ ተራኪዎች አልቫረስ ምንጭ አይደለም። ኻንኮክ ግን ጣኦታቸው ነው። ወንድሞቼ እህቶቼ አፍሪቃ ውስጥ የተፈጠረው ሁሉ ኢትዮጵያዊ ነው። ኢትዮዽያ ውስጥ የሚኘው ሁሉ አፍሪካዊ ነው። ሌላ ታሪክ ሊኖር አይችልም። ከአረቢያ የፈለሱ ነገዶች ፊደልና ስልጣኔ ይዘውላችሁ መጡ ይለናል አፈ ታሪኩ፣ አረቢያ ውስጥ ግን መንግሥት የተፈጠረው በሰባተኛው ክ∙ ዘመን መሆኑን በዝምታ ያልፈዋል። ይኸም የኾነበት ዋነኛው ምክንያት የጥበብ መጀመሪያ የስልጣኔዎች ሁሉ ምንጮች ኢትዮጵያ መሆንዋን ለማስረሳት ነው። የኢትዮጵያ ፊደልና ሥልጣኔ ከነገደ አረብ በፊት የተፈጠሩ ኢትዮጵያዊና አፍሪቃዊ ናቸው። ፒራሚዶችም አክሱምም ላሊበላም ጎንደርም ኢትዮዽያዊና አፍሪቃዊ ናቸው። እሥራኤል በአምላክ የተመረጠ ህዝብ መሆኑን ከሊቅ እስከ ደቂቅ በቃሉ ያውቃል። የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ግን በእግዚአብሔር የተባረከ መሆኑን ማንም ትዝ አይለውም። ለኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ መባረክ ማስረጂያው ጽላተ ሙሴ፣ ግማደ መስቀል፣ ዳግማዊ እየሩሳሌም፣ በኢትዮጵያ በክብር ተጠብቀው መኖራቸው ነው። ከታላቁ የውኃ ጥፋት በኋላ እግዚአብሔር ለኖህ ምድርን ዳግመኛ ላያጠፋት ቃል ገባለት። ለቃል ኪዳን ምልክት የቀስተ ደመናን አሳየው ይላል ታላቁ መጽሐፍ። ቃል ኪዳን የተገባለት የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ ለመሆኑ የብሔራዊ ምልክቱ የሆነው የሰንደቅ ዓላማው ማስረጃ ነው። የሰንደቅ አላማ ቀን በድምቀት ይከበራል፤ ይኽ ከታላላቅ ብሔራዊ በኣላት አንዱ መሆኑ አስደሳች ነው። ቢሆንም አንድ የተዘነጋ ጉዳይ አለ። ታላቁ የኢትዮጵያ ፊደል። ይኽ ፊደል ብዙ ውጣ ውረዶችን አልፎ ዛሬን ደርሷል። ሀገርን በመሰብሰብ፣ ህዝብን በማስተማር፣ ለታላቅ ገድል በማነሳሳት ከፍተኛ ሚና ተጫውቷል። ይኽ ፊደል ከቀደምቶቻችን ታላላቅ የአእምሮ ፈጠራ ውጤቶች አንዱ ነው። በተለያዩ ጊዜያት ጠላቶች እየተነሱ ሊያጠፉት ቢሞክሩም እሱ ግን እያሸነፈ ዛሬን ደርሷል። ታላቁ የኢትዮጵያ ፊደል ሁሉንም የዓለም ቋንቋዎች ድምጾችን በጽሁፍ መግለጽ የሚችልና የሚያስችል ብቸኛ ፊደል ነው። የንቆሳ፣ የዙሉ፣ የጮና፣ የንኮንጎ፣ የኪኪዩ፣ የፒግሚ፣ የፉልቤ፣ የቬየት፣ የናም የፓፑዋ ወዘተ ቋንቋዎች ሚስጥረ ብዙ ድምጾች ምንም ለውጥ ሳይደረግባቸው በአግባቡ የሚነበቡት በኢትዮጵያ ፊደል ሲጻፉ ነው። በመጀመሪያ ቃል ነበር፤ ቃልም በእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ ነበር፤ ቃልም እግዚአብሔር ኾነ…..ይለናል መጽሐፉ። ቃል በቃል ብቻ አይደለም የሚተላለፈው በፊደልም ጭምር ነው። ፊደላችንን መጠበቅና ማክበር አለብን። ወንድሞቼ ! እህቶቼ ! በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ ለብዙ ታላላቅ ሰዎች፣ ሀገሮችም ጭምር አደባባዮች፣ መንገዶች፣ ጎዳናዎች ተሰይመዋል። የእነዚኽ ታላላቅ ሰዎችና ወዳጅ ሀገሮች ስሞች የተጻፉት በኢትዮጵያ ፊደል ነው። የኢትዮጵያ ፊደል የሀገሪቱ ህዝብ ከፈጣሪና ከተፈጥሮ የተቀበለው ትውፊቱ ነው። ፍልስፍናችንን፣ ስነ ልቡናችንን፣ ታሪካችንን፣ የየእለቱን ኑሮዋችንን፣እስትንፋሳችንን፣ ጠብቆ በማቆየት ለዛሬው ጉባኤ ታላቅ ምክንያት የኾነውን የፊደላችንን ኃውልት የምናቆምበት ቦታ እንዲሰጠን በትህትና እጠይቃለሁ። ኃውልቱም እየተራቡ፣ እየተጠሙ፣ እየታረዙ በባዶዎቹ እግሮቻቸው ከአንዱ የኢትዮዽያ ክፍል ወደ ሌላው ከብርድ፣ ከሀሩር፣ ከእሾህ፣ ከቸነፈር፣ ከሽፍታው፣ ከቀማኛው ጋር እየታገሉ፣ ሲቀናቸው እያሸነፉ፥ ካልቀናቸው መስዋዕት በመሆን፣ ኹሉን ችለው አፈር ፈጭተው፣ ቅጠላ ቅጠል ጨምቀው ቀለም ቀምመው፤ መቃ ብእር ቀርጸው፤ ብራና ፍቀው ጥበብን፣ እውቀትን፣ የሀገር ፍቅርን፣ አንድነትን፣ ነጻነትን፣ ሰብአዊነትን፣ ላስተላለፉልን ሥሞቻቸው ለማይታወቁ ጀግናዎች መታሰቢያ ለእኛ የምስጋና መግለጪያ ለወደፊቱ ትውልድ መመኪያ ይኾናል።

His father's name is Gudisa! But changed to christian name as doing so was kind of fashion at the time. Journalist Teferi Alemu is biased coz when its about popular oromo individuals then he tries his best to proof that the person has amhara blood too (listen for example his presentation abou the all time famous athlet Abeba Biqila) BUT when its about a person who already was percieved as anhara then he says nothing about the fact that the person is Oromo (this presentation is a proof where he avoided mentioning his true name as well as his being oromo). By the way, those front personalities who were servants of the king played vital rol in influencing oromo spychology of that time by changing their oromo name to christian or amhara name so that others should follow their style. All the individuals related in one way or the other with the feudal monarch system changed their original oromo name to habesha name that became normal afterwards. I am lucky to see the restoration of oromo identity & values today though the mision is not completed yet. Oromoism is in the making!
