Very good job at an interesting and unbiased presentation. It's difficult to cut through a lot of the legendary and somewhat non-credible narratives. But I suppose that's the nature of these types of histories. I lived in New Mexico for about 3 years as a high school kid and things could still get prickly in discussions about the Lincoln county situation after all those years 🤔

so, before hearing this podcast, if someone told me that bat masterson knew billy bonney, i would not have believed it! bat masterson later became a sports writer, i wonder if he did any material on "the kid".

Never really knew he was a rat. You don’t hear that part so much. I knew about the pardon at the end of his life but never knew hat he did to “get” it.

Very well done. I've read many books on Billy the Kid's life and yours podcast appears very accurate from what I can tell.
