This video saved me a thousand bucks! I have the exact same model as you. I had replaced thermistor, inspected all wiring, nothing! I literally had a washer in my home depot online shopping cart when I saw this. Grabbed a length of wire, wired it up EXACTLY like you did, and it is back in business! TYSM!

Thanks for posting your repair video. It saved me the time and cost of calling repairman. I replaced the Thermistor, but still getting tE code. After watching I traced out wires removing tape until I found a break in one. Crimped the wired and re-taped and now the machine is back in action.

Thanks so much. This fixed mine after replacing the sensor didn’t work. I found both the orange and white wires were damaged under the foam insulation near the connector . I couldn’t even see the damage until I removed the foam padding to check the wire. (Speculation: No reason for the damage there. Straight run, nothing to rub on. I wonder if the repairman didn’t apply his wire nippers there when he checked on another problem a few years ago? Hopefully not, but I don’t see anyway the wire would have gotten cut under the insulation.). I check for continuity, which checked out fine, then I spliced both wires. Put it all together and I’m on my second wash now. Yay! We’ll see if the repair holds out but I’m very happy to get it working again. Other than the new sensor (that may have not been needed) this repair cost nothing but using my time and a few tools.

I want to say thank you for posting this video. I put to thermistors in my washer and it sill was throwing the TE code. Did this rewire trick and we are good to go.

Thank you for making this video! I sure wish I would have seen this before I purchased a new thermistor and a PCB main board that still didn’t fix the problem and then went out and purchased a whole new washer. I ran across your video 4 months later and figured it was worth a try. Your video may not fix everyone’s tE issue but it definitely fixed mine. Thanks again!

Thanks for the video, Had the same tE error. The red wire was broken near a tie wrap, no water damage. The sensor would not fix this one, the wire was above that. Solder and shrink-wrap it repair.

I've seen the thirmistor corroded and green inside the harness .operating on it works just put a lot of electrical tape over it so it'll stay dry.

Would this not allow the washer to spin? When my samsung washer goes to spin it just sits there and makes a high pitch sound from the stator motor. I tested the stator and also replaced the hall sensor but it still has the same issue. Only code my washer is throwing is te4

Hi Alessandro, I am really hopeful your solution will work for me since I got the exact problem of the orange wire gone bad while the white one still work. Could you please clarify for me that the orange wire from the thermistor routed up and you connect directly ONE ON ONE to the orange wire at the pressure sensor. On the video it did not look like a one on one connection but there was a 3 branch connection between your yellow and the orange wire??? Thank you! I was going to do a direct one on one connection from the orange wire at the thermistor to the orange wire at the pressure sensor but not sure if it's correct. Thanks a million.

Can anyone tell me where the yellow(white) wire leads to so i could stright wire this just like he did to the orange wire.
