Maddie was born with her vocal cords fused together and could barely manage a rasp when she opened her mouth. After a life-threatening infection, Maddie had surgery to open up her airway. I was born with this same condition, back in 2004, had a surgery to separate the separate cords from each other at 17 weeks old and when I was in 3rd grade because they grew back together.

Her vocal cords were fused? Min were nnot matured so i couldn't cry and doctors recomended to have bells on my arms and maybe feet so they knew when i was crying. Because when babies cry they move their arms anyway it would make sense to put bells on my arms and by time my vvvvocal xords matured i could then cry and i didn't need anymore bells
