IMPORTANT - This is not a truly 1 in 52 thought of card. There is a very clever process of elimination. In one version you have a possibility of 4 different cards as the thought of card. However, the spectator will believe that they could have chosen any of the 52 cards. No index is used. Everything you need is inside the matchbox.

Idk if you mentioned this but use the paper clips with the tiny beads on the ends to prevent the paper clip from damaging the card.

Glad I saw this. I was going to purchase it again specifically to replace the matchboxes I have which are looking worse for wear. It’s a real pain to get one the same dimensions and I loved the fact you could shake the box and hear the card rattling in the old matchboxes. Gutted but at least it’s saved me a few quid.

I use the cards in Shadow wallet (you can remove the index and put it in any wallet). Would you say this is better? But the shadow cards allow a lot more choice>

I can’t comment on Shadow Wallet as I don’t own it but I think that Inferno is a very practical and entertaining effect. You don’t have to use a matchbox though. You can put the 4 possible outs in something like Blake Vogts 4 way envelope (review on my channel). I can’t fully answer which I think is better because I have no experience with the Shadow Wallet.

Agreed, shame about the new matchboxes, I purchased the original many years ago now! Also refills available through v inc as the cards will definitely wear as you mentioned. Great honest review as always Scott 10/10

hello scott, ? on matchboxes. are the matchboxes smaller in size or just cheaper in quality? if card is put in matchbox included in trick, will spectator hear the card in box if i shake the matchbox. i know this is a reissue of this trick that came out 10 yrs ago, if matchboxes are not the best, then magi definetly needs to purchase new ones. please advise? thnx:)

The new matchboxes are the same quality but they are a completely different shape. The new design is fatter (depth) but similar in length and width. No, I don’t think a spectator would heard the card rattling in the new design of matchboxes included. I cut mine up but recommend trying to find (or crafting) your own.
