We have the Gravity Free and a Rawlings PROSNP. The Gravity Free already has a Japanese Pattern + I broke it in with what I'm calling the Japanese Pancake form. This turned out AMAZING for the GF glove and just GREAT for the Rawlings NP pattern as it isn't a perfect fit but it still works great.

Two glove brands I haven’t seen you do on the channel and I’d like to see you do are Glovesmith and Barraza Rollin. Glovesmith was the original custom brand before Rawlings started offering customs than Wilson soon followed. Barraza Rollin is a highly respected Mexican glove brand whose been making gloves 40 years. You’ll see a lot of professional Mexican players in Mexico using this brand.

Dang i been doing this break in method forever and never realized others or Japanese did it too! Will say it works better with thinner gloves but have an a2000 and an a2k broken in this way takes so long to get it comfortable, I'm talking almost guve up sessions but once you get it they feel way better! Love the content! Keep up the good work bro!

@taren @vegasguy1975 We have one that is what I would assume is your typical steer hide, then we have one around a 80$ price point that is cheaper leather, probably some kind of “composite” leather. It is a dark brown color with pecan color accents, it’s a sharp glove. As for the more expensive one, they feel great and the color is awesome. Knowing marruci and the realizability that they are so fond of, I can’t imagine they’d release a glove at a 200$ price point that isn’t of good or better quality.

I play in adult baseball leagues and I have a Rawlings Pro Preferred I bought 18 years ago. It’s a 12 inch glove. That is the perfect size for me. I play a mix of positions. The glove has lasted so many years. I must of paid around $250 for it. The Rawlings Pro gloves uses the best leather. I used hot water and used a ball warped in the glove for a month. Every night. I oil the glove once a year.

Glad you covered this. It's how I break-in all my gloves. Since the late 90s. It's a very common style in Japan. But was also more common in MLB during the 90s/00s. To have a wide-shallow glove playing 2nd/SS/3rd for ball control/quickness. Before players started using 2 in the pinky. 2 in the pinky was only used for Outfield back then. Nowadays.. it's kinda merged over to Infield somehow. Not gonna lie, I just started watching your vids last week and was wondering why you were breaking them all in with such a deep pocket. Until I saw this video. 😉 It's all preference though.
