a simple arpeggiator to trigger the sample slices (randomly) + a bunch of modulators doing their thing with the Amigo Sampler parameters. why? idk..

Did you automate the stretching or were you controlling it manually?

nice vid ! any tuto for LFO+ARP ?
@jjjulez5 ай бұрын
thx! i'll be working on a more advanced version for this and show it in a video but its fairly simple. a square wave LFO modulates the arp rate, with the lowest and highest range set to the 2 timings you like. 1/2 and 1/4 dotted in this case. you can stack LFOs doing that and adjust their rates and the square symmetry. this might be way easier in a step sequencer but Logic Pro doesnt offer a lot there :D

hey how did you do this? what daw?
@jjjulez6 ай бұрын
Hey! The daw is Logic, the sampler is Amigo which I really recommend, it’s only 10 bucks! I linked a bunch of midi LFOs (bpm synced) to the parameters in the sampler, the sample chops are randomly triggered by an arpeggiator. it will be easier to do in other daw’s I’m sure, thinking of making a more complex patch of this in ableton. Hope this answers your question :)

@@DavidGillodes i'm working on a ableton rack version of this! but its a bit tricky with the Phase randomization since theres no on/off button and i have to figure out how to use an LFO to both trigger the phase and randomize it at the same time. when i figured that out i'll make a more advanced version and a video for it :)

First off, nice one! Secondly where is that particular version of funky drummer break from? Where can i get it?
@DavidGillodes5 ай бұрын
Man, if u are interested by jungle stuff, u can find a BUNCH of 90's sample CDs (internet archive) ;)
@finku9075 ай бұрын
@@DavidGillodes I have a lot of them. It's that particular funky drummer you're using that has a distinct sound that i like. I see it says RJE2_Jungle, what does that refer to? I tried google without any luck. I will say, how you mutilated it does make it sound extra tuff!Cheers.

@@finku907 i second that, internet archive is a great resource for jungle packs! so i just had a look and the name of the pack i used is "Ragga Jungle Essentials 2" by 6Blocc. has great percussion loops aswell and i agree the pre chopped cuts make the fills even better :) note that the sampler definitely also adds to the sound 👾
