OK folks, no more need to learn a cantrip. The first time you go to camp a potion of Midas Touch is put in your inventory. And it has infinite uses.

@@PanicRolling I'm thinking for my next trick I want a QoL mod for teleporting around. A 'create waypoint' spell would be aweseome or at least something that gives a similar function. Possibly pairs of items.. one you drop somewhere and another that teleports you to it... Granted, this may not even be possible.. but hey, would be cool, eh?

OK, the issue has been resolved. The mod no longer 'summons' gold, it 'spawns' gold. IOW, wont vanish on long rest... AND it now gives 20 Camp Supply Packs too.

Hey, I downloaded the mod today and it was no where to be found… it didn’t show on my current wizard, and didn’t show on a new play through wizard either? Any help would be appreciated, also super cool mod idea

@@joshbarker76 when creating/respec a wiz, you need to select which cantrips you want. I fixed the icon so it now looks like a pile of gold

@@cozmothemagician7243 no I mostly only downloaded quality of life mods, but I guess I did download a mod off nexus that lets you change npc default cantrips like Shadowheart and Astarion from the basic igmiss… but it only affects level 2

There is a warlock pact weapon exploit that works great at getting all of the gold from any merchant, and it’s very easy, convenient, and fast!

I've left Larian so many times that patching out the stealing was a bad idea. It's a single player game, there's nothing lost if the player plays the game how they want. Especially in a game that fully supports mods. What an absolute waste of billable man hours to have someone fix that, SO MANY TIMES. Not a single person will ever play BG3 because they think the economy in the game is just that darn good. There's certainly games were the economy is the focus... but not BG3. Unless they were contractually obligated by the IP holder to fix it, it was a stupid move every time they patched it out.

I fully agree. There was no accidentally stumbling across the exploits for most people...if you didn't want to use them, you just didn't have to. Now I'm cheering for full-on gold cheats and mods instead of worrying about it anymore.

@@PanicRolling Considering that just about EVERY PATCH (until now) had some kind of gold xploit I honestly think they were LEFT IN on purpose. But, now that we have mods, Larian figured we can do it ourselves.

I was looking for your previous vidoe because I made a comment in to your reply of a mod I use that works. It is same concept as this but it also adds camp supplies. Unfortunately it was removed by youtube, because youtube don't like mage hand.... I am glad vendor items is history now..

So basically what's happening to me. I cast cantrip and everything but the character who casted it freezes I can't even open the menu, save, load, fast travel or interact with anything Actually had one instance where I couldn't even quit the game. Had to manually shut down my PC.

There is longish delay after casting .. 30sec or so sometimes. I THINK what is happening is that the game is actually creating ONE gold 10,000 times. You should be fine if you just wait a min or 2. Which aint bad for 10,000k , eh? IF OTOH , it is totally locking the game the it is possibly a confict with other mod?

@@cozmothemagician7243 yeah I figured that was the issue but I actually stood there for a good 5 minutes and nothing. So yeah maybe it is conflict with another mod. I'll have to do some trial and error

@@joshuayost1745 Ver 2.0 is now up. It still has a delay , even though I am using a different method to create the gold (it wont vanish on rest now...) and also makes 20 camp supply packs. Let me know if you still have problems , or if you solve your issue.

Is there now an "Achievements Enabler" mod that allows you to still pop Achievements for the game even if you use mods that is available on the ingame mod manager? Otherwise I might hold off using this Gold Cantrip mod until one becomes available. I know there is one on NexxusMods, but I need one that loads off of the ingame mod manager.

Yeh I don't blame you. I will say this...I got an achievement last night on a save file that has a bunch of mods running. I'm not sure if there are other factors at play, though.

@@PanicRolling Larian SHOULD just disable Steam's "No Achievements when using mods" mechanic themselves as I know of a few games that support modding that has the "feature" disabled out of the box. Like the Civilization games, Dicey Dungeons and Wildermyth. If those other Developers can disable it, surely Larian could too.

You're right! The mods we've had available on NexusMods have been able to spawn in any item by item# for a long time. But the overwhelmingly vast majority of players will never touch any kind of modding that requires them to mess around in their file explorer. At all. These built-in mods that install with 1 click are going to be available to almost everyone, so I'm pretty stoked about the possibilities!

that looks easier than than selling a bound pact weapon as a wares; Edit: tested last night, still works so if you want to drain vendor gold w/o a mod you still can by infinity selling a warlock pact weapon marked as wares, to mark it you have to group select it to mark as wares

You don't have to mark as wares. Just put a weapon in barter, then drag it to your equipped bound weapon in hand (not inventory) so they swap places. Then barter it over and over to get max vender attitude before trading it for stuff.

Edit: Actually , I'm going to just add summoning supply packs to my existing mod... BTW, For my next trick (unless somebody has beat me to it) is a summon camp supplies cantrip. Even w/Infinite gold, its a pita having to wait 1 day for vendors to restock.

I'm honestly not sure about the potion part of the mod. I haven't gotten that to work yet, but the cantrip has still been working fine.

When i use the cantrip it freezes my game for like 2 full minutes and then gives me the gold

I put downloaded the mod from the game's mod manger and still can not get it to work. I tried diseabling, reable, uninsteal and reinsteal, but no thing is working. What I am doing worng?

So as far as the potion goes, I'm not sure. But the cantrip should be available upon leveling up or respeccing a Wizard character (has to be a Wizard)

Yeh I haven't gotten to use the potion yet either. I wasn't sure if I needed to start a new game or what, but it may still need some bugs ironed out.

You tried leveling up a Wizard in that existing save? For some reason it only works for Wizards atm. If you did level a Wizard, then I am not sure what it's doing 🤔

@@PanicRolling Yeah, I respec my wizard but after casting the 10k spell, The game became unresponsive and won't let me move or attack etc. For now I'm just gonna use the backpack knockout bug. Anyway, thank you for answering and posting the video!

As far as I know, it only works on Wizards so far. Not sure if the author is planning to include other classes in the future. You could hire a Wizard hireling just to get gold real quick if you didn't want to respec one of your companions.

You have to respec/level a wiz. Easiest way, hire the the wiz from withers and immediatly respec him. At level 1 you will be able to select the cantrip.

IIRC there is/was a mod at nexus that ironically enabled achievements when using mods. Also, IIRC you can use the script extender console to enable achievements.

It's called cheating. Installing external files to make a game easier just call it what it is no shame. 🤡

I am not ashamed at all about cheating to get gold in BG3. I have played this game for nearly 1100 hours, and I cannot be bothered to loot every fork and spoon in the world every time I play the game. This mod fixes that very un-fun part of the game for me with a single click. It's a good thing for a lot of people. Anyone who doesn't want to use it doesn't have to.
