I just listened to the three-part story on SCP-3008 on Spotify not too long ago, I just want to add what Staff does to humans they get ahold of. If I remember correctly they fold you, and I mean literally fold you. Its something like they mistake humans for "merchandise" that is outside of its "packaging", so they basically hold you down and use their hands to fold you in on yourself in impossible ways, causing mortal, irreversible injury. Then they stuff you in a box and stock you on a shelf somewhere.

The multiple dimensions thing may sound cheesy but it’s a fairly big part of SCP. It’s used on multiple occasions to show what could happen on an alternate earth if a specific SCP were not contained. There are also specific SCP which enable interdimensional travel, are themselves interdimensional creatures, locations, etc.
@JonBrownSherman5 ай бұрын
Well, alternate dimensions/dimensional beings are the only way to make this kind of stuff at all "scientific" because, otherwise, it would have to be magical and that's lame.

Some of my favorites are the canon where The Foundation kills Death and it travels far into a future where humans live forever. Another called Amuni-Ram deals with basically alternative Egyptian history of if I remember correctly. You’d think smart people would shop at IKEA, a place where you put the furniture together yourself. Nah. - Multiple customers not having the right pieces for their furniture. (Boxes are labeled with letters. They seemed to ignore that they had two A’s instead of A and B.) - Bright ass yellow shirt that says IKEA on it but, sure, ask me if I work there. - they tried self checkout. I can tell you that those SCP beings would have wanted out the second they saw those. Did we lose a lot of product? Yeah. Cause who tf puts self checkout in a furniture store. - I was told often to stop telling customers I got my shirt at the gift shop. (The fact that people looked for a gift shop …..) I will never work there again. I don’t have the patience for keeping up with that level of stupid.

I really like this series, it feels like an intern at the foundation has decided to make a youtube channel about SCPs and is like 'why is no one talking about these??' without realising it's highly classified information.

The SCP Foundation, FNAF and The Backrooms are three of the greatest online horror concepts to have ever been created and it is a damn shame that the SCP foundation hasn't been explored properly in live action, games or animation (aside from one or two small projects). Papa Meat more of this please.

Oooh wow. I used to be a big lurker on /x back in the day and loved to read the SCP website before bed to scare myself. This is such a fun way to revisit these stories with some more layman's terms and explanations. I don't think I'll ever get tired of that creepy feeling I get listening to these, even as I get older.

Honestly I think having the people being from parallel words that have differences is my favorite part of SCP-3008, it adds to the hopelessness and despair of the survivors’ situations. That other drone means at least one other SCP Foundation have discovered 3008 but still don’t know any way to locate and free the survivors. Imagine being taken from the world you know and being trapped in an endless purgatory type dimension. Endlessly wondering the place until you learn others are here with their consensus being there is no way out. After all you’ve been through the feeling of seeing an exit would be unreal, and without a second thought you dash towards it out into a world too caught up with your escape to realize that the world you’re running towards may not even be your own.

I love when Papa meat talks about his specific thoughts on the traits of various SCPs, because it reminds me a lot of those videos where Junji Ito would take a look at popular internet horror monsters. I get the feeling they think on similar wavelengths.

I am waiting for him to join the SCP Lore, of someone contained in a constructed home, and playing to an audience - Deemed Safe but under surveillance because they sometimes get out of their facility and when doing so it causes strange phenomenon to happen - such as the video of the Gordon Ramsey trip video.

The infinite IKEA meme came from kids hiding and staying the night in IKEAs. Me and my friends would joke about this a loooong time ago. It predates the 2000s even. We'd also joke that the kids that would do this, would contort and change into the furniture, and that's why the furniture was so cheap. It's weird to see something like that manifest into the pop culture like an SCP or the backrooms.

Its interesting how the dead Ikea workers attracted more of them- like they were the antibodies of this SCP. I agree with Meat that the faceless aspect makes the Ikea workers a little too 'common'. I think it would have been better if the workers looked like a normal person. The same person. Hundreds and hundreds of duplicates of a single Ikea worker, all wearing a 'Gerald' nametag. Also, that cut from an SCP nightmare store to an advertisement for Bad Dragon gave me friggin whiplash

6:48 The clone idea is so good! Imagine there is an scp for every worker. Like scp -2 is known as “Jeremy” and each one of these clones is like a creature type. The jeremies continue to reproduce and each one has different rules and abilities. I also picture that there are many jeremies lol. Like each worker becomes their own species within this workd
