Sharing this information has had the unfortunate consequence of griefers going around intentionally tricking players into permanently destroying their fishing rods. Saw it happen to two people in the last few hours. If anyone has been tricked into deleting their rod, there IS a way to save your file! You can collect the bones around the map and buy the Spectral Rod. You are able to buy the rod even if you had the rod previously.

Guys, this still works on the latest patch, you just have to jump into the water, interact with the scratch card whilst mid-jump, and when you repsawn, USE YOUR CURSOR to select an empty slot or something similar.

"Manually" is a very strange way to word it. You want to select the slot with your cursor. Using your keyboard to switch has been patched.

I made an autohotkey script to do just this, run the game in windowed 640x480 (then clo1se it and relaunch it so it opens in the top left side DONT MOVE THE WINDOW) empty your hotbar, place the scratch off in slot 1. if you're having troubles with this theres another script to troubleshoot. It allows you to find the X and Y cords of where you mouse is for you to plug the numbers into the script above yourself if you can't get it to work out of the box. Don't ask for more, cuz honestly i dont know I used GPT to do it, if i can do it you can too. If you do delete your rod, you can just buy the ghosty one by collecting all the bones. Unless you have 500 though, you might be circling around doing the metal detector for awhile. THEN if you don't have that, you're doomed!

If you delete your fishing rod, you just need to get 500 from the scratchers and collect all the bones and you can get the spectral rod.

I tested this today (January 10th, 2025). It's been patched out. While you can still equip the Scratchcard and open it while you jump into the water, after you respawn on the dock, you are unable to move, nor switch out to another number on the hotbar. Alas.

I actually found a vey easy money glitch, when seeling the fishes if instead of just clicking you use a macro or a rapid fire, the game starts lagging and you can sell the same fish multiple times, tho the game can crash cuz it really freezes

Y'all, just find a bunch of trash using the metal detector and it'll be worth the equip swapping. You literally don't even need to buy anything to have the ticket swapped with literal trash. It's also usually worth less than 10 so, profit :D

If you use an auto clicker in the shop you can sell fish more than once. (You need enough fish for your game to lag to do it fast enough, though be careful it’s very easy to crash your game with this)

The warnings are in the video, with a very specific warning at the end. As far as I’m aware, there’s no means of recovering the rod, but If your friend hasn’t unlocked the secret rod yet, they could possibly use that one.

yes, if you attempt to do the bucket glitch, it will clear the bucket prop and removes the bucket from your inventory
