One additional note, if you wind up with really hard to catch fish with large fishing gates, auto clicker may not be able to complete it in time. Apart from clicking your mouse, there is also a second key bind to click while fishing for your keyboard. By default it is bound to \. While fishing, you can stack both your mouse and keyboard bind at the same time to click extremely fast. This can help for rare fish with gates of 1500 and up

i remember barely getting a huge manta with 1900 and 1300 gates and 20 rod power, and alternating fingers on one mouse button and some doubleclicking is what saved me.

Dude I had no clue about the grincher guy. I was playing webfishing while watching this and a dude named grincher came into my server and I didn't think much of it until you talked about it lmao So thank you, you might've just saved my ass

according to the grincher himself, he doesnt hack anyone, and the join message is a hack/script/bug (idk) that lets him 'join' peoples lobbies, but he cant actually do anything

@@ExpiredBurrito I’d rather play it safe because I’ve seen a few people saying they’ve lost data. I can’t be sure who is right so I just steer clear to be cautious.

Better tip: don’t use the golden hook at all! It is not worth it (all the fish that get a boost out of it also get the same boost with the sparkling, but the sparkling also boosts tier 2 fish. In the last update they buffed the magnet so now the magnet it also better for catching diamonds. Golden hook has 0 benefits) Great video tho!

Void bait solution: You can buy a cellphone at shop to summon a bait spawn or put your plot in the void. In your plot there is a bait spawn as well.

Pure gold advice right off the bat: I'VE BEEN SITTING ON THE BENCH MANUALLY THIS WHOLE TIME. Also, if you want to be lazy and non-aesthetic, you can optimize your buddy buckets by putting them by your respawn point.

Thanks for tips!! I add this one in case it was missed: the big glowing greeny-blue mushrooms are bouncy! They throw you across the map in the direction your character is facing as you hit them :D

4:10 another small tip i found, if you put your camera down against the water you can actually just barely see where the ground ends under the water!

also works at any point along the beach, so you can get as close to the edge as you can

some characters, mostly other languages, are not displayed in default font. if you don't see them, try using alternative font in accessibility settings, though this font breaks your balance and you can only check it in inventory.

Alt+G isn't a "sad purr" for the c at-- it's called a trill, and it's normally either a greeting or a quick "follow me!"

If the no named, no titled player you saw was on a Canadian server and was pure black with big eyes, that was me. I am not grincher, just a Canadian guy with an invisible name on Steam. At one point I also dressed up as a green pothead dog.

I am not sure about whether I should use the gold hook or not because I feel like it's kinda useless late game compared to stuff like the double hook, what should I use late game?

@@BadNameJackson I’m using it to test it’s stats and focus on getting the golden bass (since it has the best rate of catch for the golden fish) I get annoying refilling bait all the time though so if you have all the fish I’d say any lure that helps build extra cash like the lucky lure. I’d assume your current goal is to save up money for the pricey upgrades and such.

@@carrotcakegames I have everything in the game except the fishing rods that you need all of the fish in different levels to get and the fishing rod that costs a lot. I started trying to get the golden bass just now too, so I have been using it. My favorite hook is probably the one that saves bait sometimes.

I place one island down to get past the boundary. Then when I’m on the void I place a hire tier island down so I can travel to my island with the shop and when I travel back I’m still in the void. Then I can also leave my void entrance there for when I want to return to spawn for any reason (like getting the ufo or whatever). Then when I go back I don’t have to place the islands again I also put my buddies on the island so I can carry them around wherever I go Also the grincher thing might be a coincidence but they’re on my friend list 💀. If I remember correctly I think we met in lethal company 😭

Apparently is an IP scraper or something, has been known to flood people’s mailboxes with items that’ll mess with your save data but there’s a save restore site you can visit to get it cleared up. It’s mostly for attention, but you never know

Seemingly a disgruntled player who was trying to cause trouble and even trying to delete save files. I think some of the updates have made him less of an issue but still someone to look out for.

@@carrotcakegames Aha, but it is completely impossible to "delete someone's save files" from their end, it would be possible to do so if the game had a MASSIVE vulnerability, which is really rare for a bigger game to have such.

@ It was a bit easier at the beginning. It seemed to be less of a delete and more of a corrupt the save file. I saw several people claim to lose their save files to it so better safe than sorry is my motto on it. I don’t think the game developer expected the game to blow up like it did and it was quite a bit different at the very beginning.

Yeah like me. I was in one of the 18+ Canadian rooms last week with no name or title. My name on Steam is a character that turns up invisible in most games, my profile picture is a broken image. I was dressed up as a green colored Canadian-looking pothead dog at one point and then I went full pitch black cat with big wide eyes. I'm not grincher though.
