this would have done numbers as an obscure horror video on youtube or nikoniko in the late 2000s/early 2010s with rumors about how it's haunted or whatever. just downgrade the quality to 360p and add windows movie maker transitions.

Day 4: I still can't stop shaking. I can't hear anything other than the droning of the ventilation systems, it just feels so wrong. It can't be this empty. There has to be someone here, something, anything. Day 11: I'm so hungry. I don't want to do this but it's just overpowering. Each level has some amount of what looks to be trash juice, I can't tell exactly, that's what it smells like, pooling on the floor? Whatever it is, it must be made of organic material, because the cockroaches are able to subsist off of it. There's maybe 10 roaches or so each floor, but if I descend enough floors, I can capture hundreds of them. At that point, all I have to do is rip off the insulation from the hot water pipes and I've got an easy way to cook them. Exploring the high levels seems out of the question. The higher the floors are, the newer their construction. Wooden framing is fresh, there's not enough juice to feed the roaches. Everything is sterile. Day 13: I'll tell you what, moving between so many floors each day is a real workout. There's never enough calories in the roaches, no matter how many I catch, I seem to expend almost as much energy catching them as I get out of them. Talk about a weight loss program. Day 20: It's strange. No signs of human activity other than where I parked my car. You would think if I could get trapped in this place, other people could too. But there's just... no one. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Day 45: I'm starting to see things out of the corner of my eye. Pale men, zombies, ghosts, spiders. Yet when I approach them, try to interact with them they just cease. I feel as though there is an invisible stalker but when I turn around. But there's nothing. Just nothing. I want there to be something, I don't care if it's scary but there's just nothing. Day 62: My multivitamin gummies ran out. I should have rationed them better. Maybe one every two days. It's too late to think about it now. Day 70: I get it now. This is the part I can't get. There is no pale man, no invisible force stalking me. There is nothing lurking in the darkness. And yet my mind tries everything to create him. To create Day 81: Take that Michael Collins! Furthest away from the rest of mankind. No no, that honor belongs to me. I am the loneliest man in the Universe! This place must be my castle. I am its king. I am so blessed! Day 84: I just fell on my wrist and my watch got shattered. I finally stopped crying every day like a little bitch. Day:??? Some apples? Some oranges? Some lemons? I love kale and spinach! I need it. It's all I need. Roaches are so savory, I could use some acid to balance it out. Day???: My knee hurts. My hip hurts. My back hurts. My neck hurts. It hurts so much. Day???: I could really use a dentist right now because there goes my tooth. Day???: I've lost enough teeth to make a necklace. The teeth man keeps looking at me. He promises me a trip to the moon if I give him a tooth necklace. What a nice guy. Day???: My knee hurts. My hip hurts. My back hurts. My neck hurts. My eyes hurt. My wounds hurt. The roaches love drinking the sweet orange juice from my wounds. It hurts so much, but they deserve it. They fed me, now I will feed them.
