For those that don't understand, he is trying to show the trick that lets you drive around while the backup camera is on. To do this you have to make sure your audio is off. Then HOLD the settings button and at the same time start spinning the volume button. It will then access the "self diagnostics menu". From there you can turn on and test the camera along with running other diagnostic tests and mess around with settings not normally accessible.

This is exactly what I've been looking for!!! I just put on a new carbon spoiler and everytime i go into reverse it shows a blue screen since the camera isnt there anymore. Thank you for this!!

I think it's a cool trick. You can drive with the camera on. Just can't use the stereo at the same time.

Actually you are messing with the Sonar which are distance sensors on the car. The camera is only for viewing.

on my car with aftermarket exhaust (without cat) highway 19-20 and city 18. Im sure with cat it will be better than mine but not much.

17 in city.. over 30 on highway. Unless you drive it harder.

I have an M37 but I'm pretty sure its the same....go to settings, bluetooth and connect as phone. Once it connects, go back to settings, and set audio player as whatever device you just connected...it should play :)

Cali Dank Oh okay. I believe only the ones with the Nav have the feature. But there was a company who made a Nav add on that works with the stock touch screen g series and NISSAN maximas that come with factory touch screen. I think the brand is intraphex. KZbin search and google. I believe it also added Bluetooth streaming in addition to the on screen Nav.

push the audio source button not the phone button and it should allow you to switch in between am/fm and bluetooth or usb took me an hour to figure this out

Sonar are the small round circles on your bumper. The camera is just a camera (viewing only). Maybe you hit/damaged one of your sensors ?

+atamotua64 you can see he holds the settings button and turns the volume control up and down until it enters the menu. press back to exit the menu. i just drove around with my rear camera enabled on the screen. other dash controls won't work so i guess it's only practical for tricky situations or maybe lane changes during aggressive driving maneuvers

This is a self diagnosis and setup function. You can mess up your AV functions if you press the wrong button.

He is actually messing with the Sonar sensors. The camera is only for viewing. The too-close noise you are hearing is from the Sonar system (those small round circles on your bumper).
