@@randomlybruh I looked into it a bit. from what info I could get on the QX80, it seems to be very similar to my video for the QX60. I checked the sister car, the Nissan Armada, and it seems to be done from the outside. But for the QX80, you have to take off the inside boot lid trim and get to the bulbs from the inside. I based this on the 2016 QX80, and so I am not sure if there was any changes year-over-year. Removing the trunk trim will be a bit different to the QX60, but the principles should be the same overall. Hope this does help.

Thank you so much. I have to change the bulb on my qx60. The bulb went out a couple days ago. Really disappointed with the fit and finish of Nissan/Infiniti lately
@NexusAuto5 жыл бұрын
no problem at all, glad the video helped out. Sounds like you had a rough go on the car....that sucks. Hopefully with the issues you have corrected, that is the last of it for now. I did have an issue with the rear brakes, in that whoever was servicing it before, never removed the lower caliper pins and they were completely seized. What time it normally takes to do a complete brake job, front and back, took me the same amount of time just to unseize one caliper. Both were seized. This would have been mechanics fault, and not the car (not sure if the previous owner brought it to Infiniti or shop). Either way, that issue is resolved, and it has been good since. Hopefully you are ok from here on.
@Jabid215 жыл бұрын
@@NexusAuto Thanks for taking the time to reply. I forgot to mention one of the cooling fans on the radiator also failed. The bearing failed and the fan blades hit the shroud making a loud clanking noise. Thankfully, the service department covered it under warranty. It is true glossing over a small servicing matter can be costly. The same happened for my other car, a Mitsubishi where the guide pin for the caliper seized up causing premature wear on my brake pad. Weather stripping on the roof tracks were a common issue according to the service rep, which he was willing to admit and he simply took it off as it really served no purpose. Yes, these issues were corrected. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the CVT holds up, everything else, I'm not too worried about. Thanks for replying again 😎

194 and 168 are the same bulb, but 168 is ever so slightly brighter. But you can use 194 on 168, and vice versa. But always good to stick to OEM if you can. That is for the regular bulbs though. For LEDS, there is no difference and are completely interchangeable.

The owners manual says you can pop the license plate light housing from the outside. You push on the tabs and it comes right out like the map and cabin lights, then you just twist the bulb and pull out. So much easier than having to remove that entire back panel and fuss with the power and door electricals. Minimize damage too..... But this is for my QX80. But I don't see it being different on other models?

Question so my qx60 2014 headlight has moisture in it the glass looks wet and bulb is fused i did changed the light bulb but it didn't work any recommendation?
@NexusAuto7 ай бұрын
To be sure, I would swap the headlight bulbs (driver side to passenger side, and vice versa). This will just make sure that you didn't get a defective bulb out of the box. If you swap the bulbs and the non working side moves, then you know the new bulb is bad. If not, then you'll have to start diagnosis . I would start with checking the fuse and making sure it's still good (swap in a new one, just in case) and check the connector for the headlight bulb itself and make sure it hasn't gone bad/built up corrosion
@MABZ01807 ай бұрын
@@NexusAuto so having moisture in the headlight cover is not an issue you think? i tried the bulb with a new ballast machine at the mechanic shop and it works means it is the ballast not the bulb but i'm thinking does it make sense to change the ballast when the headlight cover is having moisture all the time there should be a way to block that moist any idea ??
@NexusAuto7 ай бұрын
@MABZ0180 for sure the moisture could be the problem. Since it was a new bulb, moisture shouldn't have affected it right away. So the first thing I wanted to see was if the bulb or something else had gone wrong. Awesome news on finding out it was the ballast. I mean...the news sucks, but it's good to know what the problem is. One step closer... I do agree. If you fix the ballast, it will work for a bit...maybe a few days, maybe a few months. But that moisture could affect operation and could eventually cause the bulb or ballast to fail. So now that you know the bulb is good and the ballast is the problem, next is to get that moisture out and find out how it got in there to begin with, and fix that (or replace the entire assembly, which would also suck). Then replace the ballast and you would be good to go
@NexusAuto7 ай бұрын
@MABZ0180 also, if you didn't already, don't forget to check the fuse too. Each side has its own fuse, so double check that too

Just don't see the need for a higher viscosity oil temp in the winter......just wondering your input on that...@@NexusAuto
@NexusAuto6 жыл бұрын
Hi Bik. That is awesome news! Glad to hear that the videos helped out! Thanks for leaving feedback and letting me know. The fogs are a bit hard to do for sure. I will try and get that video out for the weekend. If you were not able to do it by then, hopefully it will be very helpful. I definitely would not recommend going to 5W20. The 5 is the winter viscosity, and the 30 is the operating viscosity. The Nissan/Infiniti 3.5L engines really operate optimally with the 30 weight oil, and have heard of problems with people using a 20 weight oil (0w20, 5w20) on Nissan VQ engines (which is what we have), so I would not go with that for sure. If you are looking for something where you do not need a higher viscosity for winter, you can try a 0W30. the cold '0' weight acually does not affect the 3.5L engines, and I have also known people use this oil with no issues. That is what i would go with, if you are looking to optimize the cold-weather oil.

How to put rear bumpers reflectors with turn signals on jx35 ur videos r helpful thx appreciate it
@NexusAuto6 жыл бұрын
Hi Cesar. Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear my videos have helped. I want to clarify your question. Are you talking about replacing the rear deflectors with turn signals? As in the lower reflectors on the bumper?
@cesargalindo38616 жыл бұрын
Nexus Auto yes sir
@NexusAuto6 жыл бұрын
@@cesargalindo3861 unfortunately, I do not have a video on that one, nor have I checked out the rear bumper itself to see what is involved. From what i can see, it looks like there is on screw at the back of the reflector that would need to be removed, and once that screw is removed, you need to gently pry off the reflector using a trim tool or screw driver. I recommend wrapping a cloth around the screw driver, so you do not scratch the car. There is tabs around the reflector that need to be released. Once removed, install the new turn signal lens (they are nice, btw. I havent bought them yet, but have considered them). It should just push in, and then you have to screw it back in from the back. You will need to feed the wire through and wire it to the existing turn signals at the rear. More or less, you should then be all set. Let me know if this works out, or if you have any other questions. If you are having issues, I can see if I can put a video together on the weekend.
