Mechanic just tried the hack on my 2017 q50 and it worked! Hope this is a long term fix. My headlight was also replaced, and it works 100%. The error message is gone. Big thanks to the creator of this video!

I hate how the q50 needs a whole headlight replacement if or when your lowbeams fail. Can't just change a bulb on these vehicles.. But I love how mechanics knows their stuff down to a science! Good job man!

Hi Same, where did you order your bulb. Dealer is telling me that I need to replace the whole headlight not just the headlight. Seems like a lot of extra work for a light that blew out.

Thank you for the video. The only thing I worry about is 10 volts potential between pins 2 and 3. Isn't it too much just for signal cable? I want to get rid of this warning message on my q60 2017, but I really don't want to burn some microscheme in same time. Shouldn't there be at least some resistor between pins 2 and 3 just for safety?

I have a 16 Maxima SR with the factory HID head lights unfortunately I got in a slight thunder bunder and I really wanted do some blacked out housings and put red headlights and I know it’s illegal but I don’t give a shit. No. Dealer will never perform this service. He will make you buy new headlight, plus make you pay labor to install it
